How to stop a cat from bringing home prey.?

I am house sitting for family and they have a dog and two cats. One of the cats is 8 months old and, unfortunatley, is an outdoot cat. They have a cat door so the cats have free rein to go in and out as they please. I can't lock them in, I would if I could.

My question is, how do I stop the cat from bringing home dead prey, or partially dead prey? She has brought me home something at least twice a day since I've been here. Her owners say she has never done it for them, to be fair they aren't the best owners though. I appreciate the thought and it doesnt bother me, but it scares my cousin who is also staying with me. I get texts everytime she comes home with something.

Bringing you part of dead kills is a way to say 'I like you and I want you to have this' in kitty talk. It is leftovers and a nice gesture, so all you can do is explain the behavior to your cousin and clean it up when you get home. My ex's inside-outside cat used to do the same thing, but I made him clean it up (usually dead birds and mice). It is clear that you are treating the cats better than their owners, or they would not be rewarding you in such a fashion... consider it a compliment. ^_^

Only way to stop it, is to keep the cat INSIDE. If you cannot do this, then you have no way to stop the cat from bringing in prey.

feed him cat food and also if you want to stop him from bringing dead animals in keep him inside or try to communicate to cats and tell him stop also feed him cat food

feed ur cat sufficient food at home.... i mean...a cat with a full tummy would never hunt down more preys...
