How to deal with roommates and toilet paper?
I'm at college in an apartment with me and five other girls. My semesters are only 3 months long so I bought a pack of toilet paper with 12 rolls. I had my own bathroom at home and used about a roll a week so I figured this was reasonable.
I stuck my pack of toilet paper under the sink with all my other personal belongings (we each have our own cabinet.) I was planning to put out a roll every week to contribute but people have been taking rolls out of my cabinet.
I've asked them not to go through my stuff after explaining what I have been doing to contribute but everyone is still using mine.
My college fund only covers rent, food, and tuition so I have to pay with my own money. Maybe I'm making to big of a deal out of this but I don't want to be buying any more since I had already bought enough.

You need to have a meeting.
If they are not complying with your request, I would get a lock of some sort to lock up your personal supplies in the bathroom, and actually put the toilet paper away unless you use it.
Not to make a joke out of this, it would be funny if you leave them a stack of newspapers so they can use it to clean themselves.
It really is shameful for them to be doing this to you.

Are they contributing to the toilet paper fund as well? Because if they are, perhaps you could all just make one big box where everyone can simply get it out as needed. If you are putting it out to share, then there's no reason to store it in a cabinet.
If they aren't, then you need to call a meeting and work out a budget and some rules about who supplies what. If this still doesn't work, then talk to the RA.
You also might consider putting a note in the cabinet reminding people that these things belong to you and if they need something, they should talk to you first.

They should buy their own damn toiletpaper. You should lock your cabinet or something. Or just keep the rolls somewhere hidden, screw them for being cheap and inresponsible. I knwo it's only toiletrolls, but thats how it starts. Next it will be something else, and so on. If you don't want or can't spend money on them, don't.

Simple solution: get a Hand Bidet Sprayer. With these you hardly need toilet paper anymore just a small towel to dry off works better. You will never run out and everyone will be cleaner and save money and no more arguing!

You need to have a house meeting to discuss use/theft of personal items, contributions to house supplies and other things such as cleaning, food, overnight guests, etc. This is part of the normal process of people learning to live together. Your roomies clearly come from a different family culture and you will all need to make concession in order to get along.

Some colleges/universites offer single dorms so maybe living in a single dorm is best so that you don't have a roommate. This way, you don't have to worry about other people disrespecting your belongings.

Tell them to knock it off if they continue. If they persist tell someone in charge. Perhaps a principal at your college.
That is theft. You told them to stop and they didn't. Start by showing them what I wrote or repeat it. They are stealing and they should not be able to get away with it.
Hope this helps.

if you live on campus go talk to your RA. if you don't have one or don't live on campus talk to your roommates again and hide your things under your bed
