I'm not sure whether or not he's "the one". Any advice?

I've been dating this guy for about five years now and I care about him greatly. The first few years I was madly in love, however now I'm starting to wonder if he's truly "the one". I am starting to realise that he can be very immature, he doesn't care one bit about my family (as I am very close to mine and make a big effort to be there for his). He doesn't seem to take his school seriously for the reason that "he knows everything so he doesn't have to pay attention", however he's constantly failing one or two classes, which makes me think can he really take anything seriously in the future?
Don't get me wrong I love him but I'm wondering if he's the husband I want to grow old with. When I'm with him I have a grand old time but when we're apart I start to wonder. 
Can anyone give me any possible advice? please and thank you

i'd talk to him about it. Tell him that it worries you how he has problems with taking seriously and you're worried how that will affect your future. You've been dating five years, this is a conversation that y'all gotta have. That's a long time to be dating someone and if you're still not sure it's probably not right.

I would say maybe you can try to get him to commit to things and he still doesn't show any effort then maybe he isn't for you. 
I was dating this guy for 2 year's and he had type of ambition to do anything not even work, even tho I really loved him I had to realize that he is a good but he just wasn't the one for me and I broke it off.
