Eating disorder question- What will happen to me if I just let go?

I've been dealing with having eating disorders for about 6 months now and I'm terrified of regaining the weight I've lost.

I've seen my doctor and he told me that as long as I eat protein, I won't gain fat. If I start giving my body carbs and sugar, I'll gain fat rather than muscle (regardless of excercise). That's the advice I got.

The problem is that I'm craving exactly that; carbs. I can eat protein only to end up feeling unsatisfied and end up overeating on carbs. At the same time I'm very close to giving up excercise ; I have no energy for it anymore and its mental and physical torture. I'm scared of gaining fat if I give my body a break and eat junk, but that's the combination that my body is asking for.

What will happen to me if I just "let go"

nothing really, i had anorexia a few months ago, and trust me once u let go, u would feel so much more better about yourself. i didnt even know i put on access weight though, but its healthy. if u slip up and start eating chips, pop, candy, and other empty calories, then u would put on weight super fast. keep in mind, my family still comments that i still look skinny, even if i eat like normal. what i do is i exersise, it can be anything but i find jogging for at least 30 min or more keeps me satisfied and confident with myself. i also eat healthy breakfasts and lunch. for example i'll eat oatmeal with banana ( healthy carbs ), and for lunch an egg sandwich or apple sandwich. u just gotta eat and exersise
