Can old fractures be seen on x-rays / CT scans / MRI?

Can old fractures be seen on x-rays / CT scans / MRI? If not, then for approximately how long after a fracture occurs is it visible?

I suspect I've had recurring stress fractures in my ankles and was wondering if it could be confirmed by some scan now, or if I have to wait until it happens again.
