Can you put Sponge cake mix into cupcake tins?

Or will it not rise the same way. I'm trying different ways and not sure if this would fail or not :/

    It should rise, but I would recommend a lower temperature and less time in the oven.

    cupcake tins NEVER rise the same as ANY cake. But it is similar enough to be edible.

    any good cake recipe also works well in cupcake or muffin tins! after all they are just smaller cakes!
