please define this term in psychology?

What's it called when you tell someone the truth about something and give them plenty of evidence, but they refuse to believe it because it sounds too far fetched from what they believe is true? Is there a term for this? Thanks.

    1) I have given due consideration to your question from psychological angles only. When there are such uncertainties, the confusion will never come to an end.

    2) I have a best solution, at the same time, I have a serious doubt, that you will not listen to my instructions.

    3) It is better if you and that someone try to come to a compromise about that something. You should not feel shy and hesitant to implement it.
