Should I go back to my x-husband?
I left my husband for another woman 5 years ago. I feel like I made a mistake, especially because of the effect on my kids. My kids are in college and older, but it still rips the family apart. Life with a woman is not as I thought, and I think I was going through a mid-life crisis. I don't physically love my x-husband, but there is so much I love about him in other ways. I miss him. I'm afraid of what others will think, like I'm crazy woman for leaving him for a woman, and now going back. Especially after I bashed him so much (he had a temper). But I feel like this new relationship has just as many issues, no relationship is perfect. I sit in guilt everyday for what I've done. So, I might as well go back with him in order to have my family back. It's what others think which is holding me back. Plus I'll have the guilt of leaving my current wife. I'll have to live with that again. I'm confused.

Don't put what other people think above what is best for your family.
If you go back with your husband - ask for forgiveness - and accept it -- let the past be in the past - move forward and don't ever think on what other people think (just your family). You don't actually know what other people think - and you cannot control their thoughts and actions anyway,
This time -- be positive in your decision to stay put -- let this be the final time so you won't hurt more people and tare up more lives.

you are a user,,, you need other people to make you feel comfortable
" but there is so much I love about him in other ways. I miss him"
I miss my old car too .. but I am happy with the new one
if you cannot be whole by yourself you are not a good half of a couple
first a man needs a woman who wants him sexually ,,, other wise he has buddies and a dog
I have known several women who were enticed by the same sex ideals and saw the falsehood in the sexaual problems of being with a man and his penis ... turns out the problems were the same ,,,, but worse
I agree you need at least 5 years single ... Oh you can go by your ex's if he is single and give him a real sexup night but you need to go home. expect nothing other than his sex --- if he has a women then stay away from him do not mess up his world again
a good woman (man too) wants to be with thier other side completely and that means sex "at least" 3 days a week and sometime more and some extra special .......
if all you want is fiscal comfort and a travel partner ..... do him a favor stay away from him

I think you and your wife should BOTH go back to him. Hey, you're obviously very open minded. That might work.

You can say that again.

i would never take an ex back....you will end up divorcing again, especially with your kids grown. you seem very selfish to leave your family for a woman and dream that magically your family will come back to you. life doesn't work that way.....you should find another man...or a new woman, but by now you've probably learnt that it's a ***** trying to please a woman. hence the reason i and mostly likely your ex husband would never take a woman back

"Should I go back to my x-husband" - " I don't physically love my x-husband" - No. Don't waste your life or his, going back to someone you don't love (even if he'd take you back). You made your choice. Get therapy to deal with your guilt, don't compound it by making yourself and others more unhappy by getting back into a relationship you don't really want to be in, from a romance standpoint.
Learn to be happy with yourself. Maybe you need to be single for a while.

"I don't physically love my x-husband"
Then why in hell would you consider going back? Don't you think you AND him deserve better than that?
Your kids are grown. You don't need to go back for them, and to be honest, the damage is done.
You are just lonely, bored, and your new relationship has lost his shine. You're starting to realize that the grass isn't greener on the other side. Boo hoo - that's just life.
I suggest you to take some time to be on your own.
