How long to cook a pork tenderloin in the crock pot?

I just have a plain garlic and herb tender loin from the grocery store and I just plan on using the crockpot to cook it?

I don't..Tenderloin is one of the cuts that does better with dry heat.

It does not take long to cook a pork tenderloin, about 10 to 15 minutes per pound. The lower time if you stuff it. Even less if you make cutlets and pan fry them.

Until it is done. How do you know? You need a meat thermometer, and you can test the doneness as it cooks by inseting in the fattest part of the meat and taking a reading. This website gives the safe temperatures for cooking so you know it is finished, and safe to eat:

    I would say over 145 deg F

Tenderloin doesn't do well in the crock pot because its not very fatty and gets dried out with slow moist cooking.

it will taste better if you brown it on all sides first, either in the crock pot on high or on the stove top. Then just put it in the crockpot and set to cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4. check the inner temperature to be sure it meets the minimum recommended temp. You could add a small amount of water or broth/marinade if you want to but not necessary.
