Can anyone identify for me a good online source that discusses the basics of nutrition, weight control, etc that is NOT selling anything.?

The online source I would recommend is selling something unfortunately, but you can still get the informations from this website without buying anything. https://bit.ly/2wsfbvj . I hope this was helpful although its not exactly the thing you wanted.

Society knows proper nutrition- except the reason obesity is an pandemic.

Check out YouTube videos of the author of the book "Fat Chance", Dr. Robert Lustig M.D.

The book is more of a PSA and is only $7 on Amazon or free from your library.

The book is likely over your head, but maybe not. The videos on YouTube are a bit easier.

This book fundamentally changed my life (and possibly millions of others) No hyperbole here, just the truth (that apparently no one likes hearing).

    Obesity is reversible.

Not through dieting and exercising. Something in our diet is causing obesity, and that's not really what we need to worry about.
