Why is it that intelligent people tend to be more productive?
The reason why I put it in quotation marks is because intelligence can mean lots of things.
Anyway, why is it that less intelligent people tend to be more lazy than intelligent people? I don't mean for all cases, I know some pretty lazy intelligent people and vise versa, however it does seem this way in general.
Apparently there's no option for quotation marks in a title...

Intelligent people have more self esteem and can deal with real life problems easily.

Most likely because you've chosen to use productive as a means for identifying intelligence.
Most innovations and inventions come from the truly lazy, who seek ways to cut corners in daily life.
