Sister is pregnant. Do you think she will lose weight?
So my sister drinks quit a fair amount, and she just checked like she does every month and theyve been trying for 2 years.
She has 3-6 drinks every day, and over 6 every weekend. Of mostly beer. She eats pretty bad, pizza every week, garlic bread most meals, processed foods, little to no fruit. She cooks wholesome hearty meals etc.. needless to say a fatty diet
So im thinking without the beers since she is pregnant, and a better diet for the baby she might actually drop some? Shes over weight by 30 or more pounds

She might in the first few months.
Typical weight gain just from pregnancy - the baby, amniotic fluid, increased blood volume, the placenta, etc. is about 30 pounds.

No, now is not the time for her to try to lose weight. While pregnant, she needs to obviously stop drinking and definitely cut out the junk foods, but she will have to keep her calorie intake sufficient enough to nourish the growing baby. She can continue to eat garlic bread, as there is nothing wrong with that. As long as she balances that with fruits and vegetables and proteins like chicken, fish, turkey, etc. Dropping 30 pounds is not going to happen until some time after she gives birth.
