can tap water keep you hydrated?

    Yes any kind of water will help you in stay hydrated, but make sure the water doesn't contain bacteria.

    Absolutely, But do not drink more than as per the body requirement. Most of the people suggest 3-4 litres of water is enough to drink.

    Yes. You have to drink enough. I think 8 glasses a day is too much however.

    Of course it can. The problem is that in SOME places in the US, the tap water isn't safe. Hard to believe in the richest country in the world. Even if your water is relatively good, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to run it through a Brita filter to drink it. But it's water, just like any other water.
