What to pack in a lunch at school?

I'm a 16 year old female. I recently started packing my lunch for school because the school food is gross and unhealthy. I'm currently dieting. I'm mainly trying to avoid a ton of carbs and sugar. Any ideas on what to pack to make a healthy school lunch?

Plenty of dark leafy greens, any other chopped vegetables you like as a base.

Then top it with a protein source (pre cooked chicken, tinned tuna, tofu/tempeh, chickpeas etc)

Then add hummus and hot sauce as a dressing (lemon juice instead of hot sauce if you dont like spicy)

Lean protein (3 ounces) like chicken, steak, tuna, hard boiled eggs, or whatever you will eat cold. Salad (about two cups): any combination of leafy greens and crunchy add-in such as celery, cucumber, radishes, cauliflower, broccoli, etc. You can also use shredded cabbage. Salad dressing is fine -- just read the label and watch for added sugars. You can also include avocado or nuts. What you don't want to bring are any bread, pizza, chips, or anything made with grains (even whole grains), sweets, fruit, or fruit yogurt, or high-glycemic veggies like carrots. You can take tuna salad one day and sliced turkey rolled around a cheese stick or pickle the next. You could also do a stir-fry over rice cauliflower.

If you are going low/no-carb, don't be afraid of some fat -- it is what keeps you feeling satisfied. That doesn't mean eat a cup of dressing, but you can have mayo in your tuna or a couple of tablespoons of ranch dressing.

    The goal are:

    1. Fuel your body and brain with great nutrition.

    2. Satisfy your tummy and tastebuds so you won't give in to junk food.
