Is it expensive to grow spirulina?

I have found that spirulina is a TRUE superfood & would like to grow it if it isn't too expensive. Any ideas?? Thank You

    You do realise that spirulina is an algae, don't you?  Your biffest problems will be growing enough to process and keeping harmful things from also growing in your tanks:

    I mean, it is commercially grown, it's not an impossible start up for a small business, but it's not like keeping some plants on your windowsill.

    From where I am, it's considered grass. They just grow out of nowhere.
