Workplace bullying?

I'm new to a work place, and trying to find my feet and 2 girls where I work sort of just ignore me. They say hello, but their job was to train me and I feel like I'm more likely to be told off for what I'm doing when I haven't even been shown properly. How am I supposed to know? They talk among themselves, but I may aswell not be in the room, they may not verbally say anything bad to me but body language stigma and just how I'm portrayed in the work place I feel bullied and it makes me want to leave. Do you think this is bullying? Or am I exaggerating?

  • If you need help as for it. Ask some one else if you don't feel comfortable asking the girls.

I don't think this is bullying but they're putting you in a difficult situation, buy not training you properly you can get fired for making too many mistakes. If their behavior continues, they start teasing / making fun of you, or harassing you then that's bullying and that should be reported to your boss.

This isn’t bullying. They don’t say or do anything directly to be nasty to you, you simply choose to interpret their body language and lack of inclusion in the worst possible way. I think if you want to leave then leave, but don’t be surprised if you encounter the same thing in other places. It always takes a while to get included when you are the new person, they have an already established relationship and know each other, so of course they are going to talk to each other.

Sounds like a difficult situation, especially for a new employee. Have you tried asking them questions on tasks/assignments you're having trouble with? If they aren't answering your questions or aren't making an attempt to answer/train you, I'd speak with management about what's going on. The company is basically setting you up to fail, which isn't OK. They need a productive employee!

If speaking with management doesn't change the situation, I'd look for another place of employment.

    Hope that helped.
