Sounds like a split personality. One is potentially psychopathy and the other is empathetic. You shouldn't want to see people or animals injured. This shows a blood lust.

This is not normal. You have a lack of empathy and are narcissistic.
Taking joy in this is just a start. Soon you'll get bored seeing the same thing over and over. The dog mauling The cat. The pleasure will become less and you'll seek that past pleasure in other ways. Perhaps you'll begin to fantasize about what it will be like to torture a cat yourself. After that humans.
