Any help here is appreciated! My 1-yro cat is acting strangely, and we're at wits end.

The cat has been pooping outside the litter box - about a foot away. This happens maybe 1x a day, but not every day. The litter is kept quite clean, and we have been using an enzyme treatment on that area (it's linoleum), but it doesn't help. Well, now we find the cat has gone on top of our kitchen cabinets and pooped 2-3 times. (Ewww)

On top of this, the cat is being very aggressive to our 5 year old - attacking her and scratching her legs badly. Our child is nice to the cat - pets gently, plays nice, etc etc.

We were told she was sweet and gentle when adopted, this this is a walking, pooping terror...and I'm about done.

My daughter got an i-dog for christmas. It 'dances' to music when played on a speaker, but won't react to music through the plug - we tried her mp3, my ipod, even a direct connection to the computer speakers (which worked without the jack). Nothing. Before I break her heart and send it back...and suggestions??

I know plenty of good clubs to shake my rear...but is there a club/bar/whatever that plays a mix including slow songs? You know, something more romantic for couples? Would even take ballroom or country!

Our 5-yr-olds PE teacher had them run a half mile (2 laps on the high school track), TIMED. It was the 4th day of kindergarten. This seems inappropriate to me - does anybody know if there are any standards requiring such activity? Or anything to say it's a bad idea?

I'm on a business trip, have this afternoon free (and want away from my coworker!)...any suggestions for things to do in Vancouver BC? I'm at 12th and Cambie, with no bike or car, so have to walk or take transit

My family is headed to Disneyland in June, want to spend a day or two at a beach that is clean, not scary, free (ideally). With plenty of parking, places to eat nearby, public bathrooms you aren't afraid to use. Is Long Beach a good choice? Someplace else you'd recommend?

Help - we just bought our house, with a gas fireplace (and neither of us knows what to do about it). Now that it's cold, we've noticed a significant draft of outside air through the fireplace vent. Like - it will flutter paper in front of it. We've got it blocked with a blanket right now, but this can't be the "normal" mode of operation. What should we look for, how can we fix this?

My anniversary is next week, and my husband is hard to buy for. He doesn't wear jewelry or watches, isn't that picky about clothes or shoes. Plus, with Christmas just 2 days after - the items he's mentioned wanting during the year are already bought and wrapped (by me and other people) - so I'm stuck! Look for something <$100.

I'm talking more about the appetite suppressants - like Meridia - not the fat-blockers. Did it work? How well? How long did you take it? And did the weight stay off once you stopped the pills?

Or, got something else that worked to suppress appetite?

Based on your experience, what are some makes/models that will be reliable? I'm already comfortable with Honda and Toyota - anybody like a different brand?

Any contractors out there - I have a 2-story house, with only the trim (roof, windows, doors) needing paint. What's a reasonable price range?

I'd like to take the kids to a park or something, with lots of trees (since they are turning), maybe a bridge? Playstructures? Looking for both static shots with scenery, and something active for the kids to be doing. I'm a newbie in town - anybody have a suggestion? Willing to drive up to 45 minutes from Portland.

I lost my digital camera (about 4 yrs old), but have 3 compact flash cards remaining. I hate the idea of buying new memory cards...but all the cameras I see available now use the SD memory. Does anybody know (or have an easy way to find) what NEW cameras on the market use compact flash now?
