  • Nice camp sites in the south of france?

We are going on Holiday to the vandee next week for three weeks but are considering having the second two weeks in the south. We are looking for a nice quiet site near a beach with a swimming pool and a few nearby towns to visit. We usually spend about 360 euros a week on site costs.

    Thanks for your help

  • Smelly feet - can anyone help?

My husband wears safety boots all day at work and by the time he gets home his feet stink like rotting cheese.

He has tried washing them, even used Dettol and Savlon in the bath/ shower, talc powder, athletes foot powder, yet even when he has washed them the smell comes back after a couple of hours.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might help to get rid of the smell as my kids and I will soon have to wear pegs on our noses in the house

    Thank you

  • Panic Attacks in 13 year old son?

My 13 year old son has been sent home from school today as they say he has had a panic attack and I am not sure what to do.

He said that he felt really short of breathe and wanted to sleep so they rang us to collect him.

He has had this once last year and the doctor couldn't find anything physically wrong with him. He seems ok in himself otherwise but a friend told me that panic attacks can be linked to depression, can 13 year olds get depressed?

If anyone can help I would be very grateful as i can't get to the doctors until tomorrow

    Thank you

  • 2 male cats fighting all night - please help?

We adopted a 4 year old male cat from the RSPCA a few months ago and we adopted another one yesterday, an 8 year old male. Both have been neutered. We separated them to start with, letting the new cat roam the room, whilst one of us sat with him and the other sat outside with the old cat roaming the rest of the house. Then we introduced them to each other and they were fine at first, just following each other and smelling. They have separate bowls for food and drink and seemed to be getting on. But last night when we went to bed, they were snarling and hissing at each other. Our old cat had the new cat pinned to the front door and wouldn't let him get out of the way. We tried separating them but it happened again, snarling and hissing. We then put the new cat in the room with the door shut and the old cat wandered the house but he still kept hissing and scratching the door to try and get to the new cat, the new cat was making a really strange noise the rest of the night like a howling noise. We didn't get any sleep and both cats were still not happy this morning with each other

Has anyone else had this with there cats? Or does anyone know what we can do to help the cats? Have read various stories on the net that 2 male cats can't live in the same house but the RSPCA didn't say anything about this to us so not sure if this is true.

    Thank you

  • Stop thumbing/ finger sucking? Advice Please?

my daughter who is 9 nearly 10 years still sucks her 2nd and 3rd finger. She has done this since she was a baby and nothing we do seems to stop her.

Have tried putting the solution on for nail bitters, dipped them in mustard, taped them together, bribed her with a new toy & DVD if she stopped, took them out of her mouth every time we see her with them in. I don't know what else to try and we need her to stop as

    1 she is too old

2 her front teeth are starting to stick out

3 her two fingers are thinner than the rest of her fingers

If anyone has an suggestions we would be very very grateful

  • Stray cat - when is it safe to let him outside?

    Hello

We adopted a 4 year old neutered male from the RSPCA last week and I am just wondering how soon would it be ok to let him outside?

I don't want to let him out yet and then him disappear and never come back. he doesn't seem that keen to go outside as my kids left the front door open and he didn't bother to go out.

Also has anyone got any tips about litter trays as his stinks, I have been changing it every day but it is going to cost too much to do this. I have heard that sandpaper on the bottom of the tray with disinfectant on helps with the smells but is this safe for the cat?

If anyone can help I would be very very grateful
