  • What to do if I don't know what to do after college?

I graduated college a year ago in the Office Administration General and Medical program at my local college. I took the summer off before truly trying to find a job. I've gotten a few interviews, but nothing concrete so I basically sit at home being unproductive with my life. Most places want me to be either bilingual or have at least a year or two of experience under my belt.

What do I do? I'm losing confidence in my skills and I'm constantly stressed out over the fact that I can't find a full-time job. My mother and father worry for me and I hate that I'm causing them so much concern over my future.

I have been considering returning to school to further my education in the office administration field. But recently my cousin had suggested the option studying something entirely new and different as opposed to office administration.

And I'm honestly torn. I'm even more stressed than before because I don't want to waste my parent's money. I owe them enough for paying for my initial tuition. But if my job prospects don't look up I will have to go back to school.

Personally, for a job, I wouldn't mind any job as long as I am content doing it. I don't have to particularly like it, but I don't want to absolutely hate it either.

So, should I go back to school to further my education or study for an entirely different degree? I'm so lost right now.

  • Safe to eat Baby Bottle Pops after Expiration Date?

I just recently bought a bunch of Baby Bottle Pops from my local grocery store. I m a huge fan of this particular candy so I was excited to eat one as soon as I got home. However, when I checked the bottom of the Baby Bottle Pop, the date was stamped 01/30/15. I had just bought them at the very end of August 2015. I can t tell if it s truly expired or if it s just a Best Before Date. The candy looks fine, and there s no mold or odd lumps in the powder and the hard candy looks the same as ever. Is it safe to eat or should I just throw it all away?

  • How can I calm down in this situation?

Basically what happened is that I was called in today by my professor. The professor told me the meeting was about a academic misconduct that had happened. A friend had copied my assignment work and handed it in as her own. What had happened was that I had trouble printing my assignment and my friend had offered to print it for me. I agreed and sent her my project. She instead apparent changed my name to her name on the assignment and handed it in as her own. I had told the professor what had happened and even if I wasn't the one doing the copying, I could still face multiple penalties such as docking 5-10% off my final grade, taking a plagiarism class, suspension from my program, and possible suspension from the school itself. Now I'm panicking and I don't know what to do to calm myself down!

  • How does the apple one year warranty work?

I just bought an apple 5th Generation iPod a few days ago, and the sales guy told me that I have a one year warranty on it with apple.

I was just wondering how that worked? If my iPod gets broken within the year, does that mean I'll just have to go to an apple store to get it replaced or fixed?

  • Is this proper grammar?

Okay, this sentence has been bothering me for quite a while and I really wanted to know if the grammar in this sentence was correct or not.

    "Sure?" She said, confused.

Is that's little sentence above a proper use of a comma? Or is it a comma splice? I read it somewhere and it's been stuck in my head ever since.

  • How much are Drachma's worth in Percy Jackson?

I had just watched the second Percy Jackson Movie, The Sea of Monsters, a couple days ago and saw that they used a currency called Drachma. I was just wondering how much they're worth in US dollars (not Drachma from real life Ancient Greek, only the ones from the Percy Jackson stories). If someone can't tell me the exact exchange rate, can someone give me an idea of how much they're worth? An example of what they spent Drachmas on and how much Drachmas were spent (i.e a cup of coffee)? The only thing I can remember is them using a single golden Drachma for Iris-Messaging, but that's more of an offering if anything.

  • How much are Drachma's worth in Percy Jackson?

I had just watched the new Percy Jackson movie, The Sea of Monsters. And I saw that they used the currency called Drachma, which I know are an Ancient Greek currency made from gold. But I would like to know how much Drachma (from the world of Percy Jackson) are worth in US dollars. Or even an example on how much Drachma you would need to buy something, something like a cup of coffee maybe?

  • My knee hurts when I put pressure on it or keep my leg straight?

For some reason, yesterday out of the blue my left knee started to hurt like crazy when I put even the slightest amount of pressure on it and when I tried to stretch out my leg. So in order to avoid it hurting, I had to limp everywhere on one foot and keep my left leg slightly bent. When it's hurting like this, it kinda feels like it dislocated, or my kneecap is off and there's a small space in my knee.

It got better after an hour after I sat down, but it still hurts a bit when I walk around. Even when I was sleeping I had to keep my left leg slightly bent so it wouldn't hurt.

Mind you, I'm not an athletic person. I barely exercise at all other than going on occasional walks to go and buy snacks or something. I usually sit around all day, on the computer other than when I go to help out at my family's restaurant two days a week where I'm standing for 2-3 hours.

Does anyone know what's wrong with me? I've never dislocated my knee before, I haven't got any recent injuries to my leg other than the occasional bruise, I don't have any body disorders that I know of, and I haven't ever broken a bone either.

  • Am I supposed to feel this way about chores?

Okay, I've been doing household chores for years now. My chores include vacuuming the stairs and carpets, cleaning the bathroom (including the toilet and bathtub), mopping the floors, sweeping the floors, hanging half the laundry, cleaning the dishes and the sink, and taking out the trash.

Now I don't like doing chores (but seriously, who does?), and I've been tolerant of the amount given to me. But it's not really the chores that bother me I think, it's my mom. My mom is a very hardworking but aggressive woman with a short temper. The usual thing in my house is that if my mom tells me to do something, I either do it or get my ear yelled off. So for years I just do as I'm told since it's the easiest way to avoid conflict. One of the worst problems I have is when I don't do a chore fast enough, my mom does it then rants on and on about how she's a servant for having to do the chore for me. I obviously get annoyed by this but I ignore it since it happens at least 10 times a year.

But today I just snapped. My mom caught my grandmother, who lives with us, taking her laundry to the drying machine. It was a normal routine thing. But my mom decided that she wanted to save power and told my grandmother that she would hang the clothes for her in the laundry room. During this time I was minding my own business, reading fiction on the internet, before my mom calls me down. I go down, passing my grandmother down the stairs, and see my mom standing beside my grandmother's wet pile of laundry. My mom then proceeds to tell me to hang my grandmother's laundry before just leaving me there to do the work.

Now, I've been pretty tolerant of the various chores and commands my mom gives me, such as making smoothies for her when she doesn't want to get up, getting her various items from around the house when she's too lazy to do it herself, helping my mom work her computer when she doesn't want to take the time to figure it out herself, tending to her garden in the fall when her plants are dying and need to be cut down, and whatever else she can think of. My mom then proceeds to call me useless when I can't do a job she assigns me to do.

Am I being taken advantage of in my own house? Or is it this way in every household?

  • The area around my lips feel dry even when moist?

I constantly have dry lips, though I don't know why. Anyways, I always keep a stick of chapstick on me at all times and I apply it several times a day. It's been this way for years. The brands I use are usually EOS mint and Burts Bees. I also use vaseline at night for when I go to sleep.

Now then, every few months or so, the area around my mouth would feel dry despite the fact that I've applied chapstick all around my mouth including my lips. Even vaseline only gives me short term relief as after maybe a small while, even though I can still feel the chapstick/vaseline around my mouth and lips, my skin feels dry. It also turns a slight reddish pink just underneath my lips sometimes.

Why does this keep happening and are there any methods to remedy it? Please note that I have extremely sensitive dry skin due to the eczema I was born with.

  • Help with money problems with my Dad?

Okay, my dad went on vacation over a month and a half ago to visit his relatives there. Before he went however, he withdrew around $800 dollars from the bank in cash, kept it in a roll, and hid it in his room. Now that he's come back, he can't find the money at all.

Since he can't find it, he blamed me for stealing it and keeps insisting that I'd return the money to him, that he wouldn't be mad and assured me that he'd forgive me as long as I returned it. He even tried to guilt trip me by saying that he needed the money to pay his bills.

Here's the problem, I DIDN'T TAKE IT. For that matter, I didn't even know he kept money in his room until after he announced that it had went missing.

Although I admit I had a money problem back 6 years ago when I was 13 and in my first year of high school. I was foolish and wanted pocket money, so I resorted to taking money from my parents' wallets, mainly my mother's. However, I did stop after a couple weeks when my parents confronted me about it and started giving me an allowance. Then I got a job as soon as I was sixteen and didn't need an allowance anymore.

But now I see that my mistake has come back to haunt me. But seriously, I didn't take it since I have no need for it. I've saved up plenty of money in my accounts that I can spend however I wish, and I don't buy much except for the occasional run to the drug store for gum and snacks.

How can I convince my dad that I didn't take his money? I considered looking for the money so I could prove that I didn't take it, but I'm afraid that I'd still be accused of stealing it if I present the money it to my father, or be accused of putting it back where it came from if it was 'found' in an obvious place. And honestly, my dad is a forgetful person, I'm not really surprised that he lost it, he really should have just kept it in the bank.

I tried to tell my dad that perhaps that he had just misplaced it, but he won't believe it. Even my brother agrees with me on this, and knows that I didn't steal it. Mainly because he knows that I'm not retarded enough to steal $800 dollars in one go instead of slowly taking money to avoid attention and suspicion (like he had done in his youth except he wasn't caught and eventually stopped as well).

    Please help me.

  • Is this considered cheating on a quiz?

Okay, my sister is currently in her first year in College and yesterday her class had a quiz. My sister ended up being one of the few who finished early, answering all she could and leaving the ones she couldn't, blank. Now then, since she was done early, she decided to look around the room to see who else had finished early like she did. Her eyes ended up glancing one too many times onto a colorful binder that her seat neighbor owned and from the teacher's view, it looked like she was looking at her seat neighbor's unfinished test.

My sister was then accused of cheating on her quiz by the teacher even though after she first finished her quiz, she never went back to write any new answers after looking around the room.

Is this considered cheating? My sister most likely failed that quiz because of that accusation.

  • How long after handing in a resume do I have to wait for a call?

During the last month, I have handed out about 5 resumes, 3 to pet stores, a convenience store, and a Zellers. How long do I have to wait for them to call me to tell me whether they're going to interview me or hire me? I absolutely refuse to work in any food related business because of my family's restaurant, which I was forced to work for. Since I'm out of high school, and the college course I wanted to get into was full, I'm free for the whole year, 7 days a week. How long do I have to wait for them to call me? The longer it takes for me to get a job, the more hours I'm going to be forced to work at my family's restaurant! Currently, I'm also still looking for other places to apply as well. The more places I apply, the better my chances right?

  • White stuff comes out of my nipples when I squeeze them?

I've had this slight problem for a couple years now, especially after my breasts became fully developed and I know they won't be growing any bigger unless I become pregnant. After I get out of the shower, I notice that my nipple tips have white spots on them. Curious, I squeeze them and found that the white stuff actually came out. It's not running, it's actually quite thick, but not slimy or anything. Kinda like the white impurities that come out when you squeeze a black head.

What is it? Is it harmful? I've been ignoring this for a while now, but now I really wanna know. Could this be discharge from the mammory gland? Or is it something else? I'm 19, and since having this condition I haven't felt any different, nor has it been causing me problems. I'm just curious and slightly annoyed. And yes, I do squeeze the white stuff out when I see it. I also had eczema since I was born, if this helps in any way.

  • My Nestea Iced Tea is fizzy?

I just bought a case of Nestea Lemon Iced tea earlier this week because it's my favorite soft drink. But to my surprise, instead of the flat and smooth lemon iced tea I was expecting, they tasted like they were carbonated. Many of the cans in my newly bought case had a slight fizz to it, but not all of them. None of the cans have expired, and it's the new design. The blue can with the word COOL on it. I'm just wondering if there was something wrong with my drinks and if anyone else had the same problem. Should I drink it or throw it out? One of them tasted especially fizzy and i just threw that one out because I thought it might have something wrong with it. All the ones with the slight fizz, I'm a bit scared to drink. Is this okay to drink?

  • What is it like being a Medical Office Administrator?

What is it like being a Medical Office Administrator? Is it boring? Because I'm considering becoming one because of my interest in the medical/veterinary field without having to directly having to deal with the patients themselves since I'm not much of a people person. At first, I thought it was an ideal job, but then I started to get ideas in my head like... 'What if I hate it?' or 'What if I find it incredibly boring?' and 'What if I'm not suited for such a job despite the various online career tests stating that I am?'. I'm a bit of a pessimist, and I tend to see the worst side of things, overlooking the good side. I'm good at math and organization, and I like to help people I suppose.

I'm looking more into Vet offices or massage clinics rather than hospitals, but I'd like to keep my options open just in case. I also don't like working under lots of pressure, because I can't concentrate that way, I prefer to do things at my own pace. So I'm asking any Medical Office Administrator, what is it like to be one? Currently, I'm quite nervous in choosing a life career, because I don't really know what I want to do. This makes me even more nervous because of college, which is looming over my head. Another thing are my parents, who are waiting for my decision, and are honestly worried for my future since I can't seem to get set on a certain job. I know I want to work with something having to do with biology and computers without a lot of manual labor.

  • Can you eat Dried Salted Cod by itself without cooking it?

I had a craving for dried or salted meats lately, like jerky, and I saw dried salted cod at my local chinese supermarket. Is it okay for me to eat it as it is or do I actually have to soak it in water and cook it?

  • Is it okay to wear a regular Japanese school girl uniform as a cosplay costume to Anime North in Toronto?

Okay, I'm planning to wear a regular Japanese school girl uniform as my cosplay costume for Anime North, which is held in Toronto, Ontario. I'm just wondering if it's okay or not because an actual costume ordered online is too expensive. My costume entails a white blouse, a black tie, a grey pleated skirt, black thigh high socks, and flat black mary jane shoes. Is this ensemble okay to wear at Anime North or am I better off wearing no costume at all? I really don't wanna look out of place or anything because many of the people around me are wearing actual cosplay costumes from actual animes and mangas, whether or not they bought it or made it themselves.

By the way, I'm an asian girl, 5'15" in height, 102lbs in weight, and is 18 years old.
