  • Why is our washing machine not completing the cycle?

When the cycle is "done" we open our washer, take out the clothes and they are SOAKING wet. Also, the cycle never actually finishes and the machine just stops half way through without spinning out the clothes. We've tried to set it just on a spin cycle several times but regardless the clothes come out soaking wet. What could be the problem? We want to see if it's something we can fix on our own before dishing out money to a repair guy.

    Thanks!

  • Units of constants in a parabola?

The general equation for a parabola is y=ax^2+bx+c, where a, b, and c are constants. What are the units of a, b, and c if x and y are in meters?

I tried doing this by solving for a, b, and c individually and then figuring out the units that way but get bizarre units for b and c.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Why is it difficult to predict that a precipitate would form when reacting Copper II nitrate with KI?

In my lab we had an unpredicted reaction forming a precipitate between copper II nitrate and potassium iodide. In the analysis we have to explain why we could not predict this precipitate forming ahead of time. I've done some research and found out that CuI2 is unstable and decomposes into CuI and I2 when formed but I still don't know how that would help me figure out why a precipitate would form.

  • good enough score on SAT math 2 subject test?

I just took a practice SAT Math 2 Subject Test and got a 670. I typically do better on actual test day on all my standardized testing but is this a more or less decent score? I don't know much about the SAT so that's why I'm asking.

    Thanks.
