  • A joke song from the 90's, about girlfriend refusing to eat vegetables, can't find it anywhere?

I remember a joke song I used to hear on the radio occasionally, it was a comedian singing "My girlfriend don't like vegetables, she gives them all to me", and the song continued stating all the vegetables she wouldn't eat. I can not remember who sang it, and I don't know the title. I have tried looking up the lyrics and nothing comes up. Does anyone remember this? Thanks in advance!

  • Audio product from the 1990s-can't think of the name?

There was something in the 90s(early 90s,I think) that was supposed to be competition to cds.I believe it was kind of box shaped(kind of like an 8 track) and I guess it failed miserably,I only saw it in Radio Shack once or twice, and within months it was nowhere to be found.Does anyone remember these, and could you tell me what they were called? Thanks in advance!

  • Using clear orchid pots for other plants,is this advisable?

I am going to bring in seeds to my kids' kindergarten so the class can grow their own plants, but I would like for the kids to see the roots as they grow,so they get to see the whole process.I have seen clear plastic pots for orchids, but I was wondering if those pots would be able to be used with other plants grown from seed (most likely nasturtium) or if there is a reason not to.Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Can someone help identify this plant and tell me if it can be replanted elsewhere?(pic)?

My neighbor has a very large one on his side of the fence and recently it has spread to my yard(which was a pleasant surprise because normally all I get from him is nasty weeds). The leaves and stem are somewhat "rose-like" but there is only a single layer of petals on the flower.

Can someone identify it for me and tell me how to replant it elsewhere because though it is very pretty it has sprung up in an awkward spot. Thanks in advance!

  • Can someone identify this flower?(pic)?

I planted a large assortment of bulbs a few years back(about 100 or so,several different kinds),but alas the squirrels had a feast and they were all gone, except the next year about 6 or 7 of these flowers popped up,so I assume they were in the mix,but didn't taste good to the squirrels. Can someone tell me what kind of flower it is and if it comes from a bulb?I am sure it's a fairly common one,but I am new to this so any help would be appreciated!

The pic shows them as blue, but they are actually more of a purple. Thanks in advance!

  • Can someone help identify this plant?(pics)?

This plant is growing up around my tree.Last year I tried to dig it up by the roots, but after digging over a foot deep,I gave up and just cut them at the surface of the soil. Can someone please identify it for me and give clues as to how to get rid of it?It's literally growing right up against it and I never actually got to the roots(which seemed strange),but does not resemble the tree at all. Thanks in advance!

  • Gardening experts-some advice about amending my soil..?

I tested my soil(for a vegetable garden),the ph and potash came out fine, the nitrogen and phosphate was extremely low.I went to a garden center and they gave me Epsoma dried blood(12-0-0) and triple phosphate(0-46-0).I did not think to ask about details of how and when to add to the soil, because I figured directions would be on the bag-they weren't,and they weren't on the website either. It's hard to get in touch with the garden center at this time of year,so I could use some expert advice about when and how to add these to my soil.I live in zone 6.

I would like to know if someone could tell me the proper method and time to put these in my soil. Thanks in advance!

  • My Christmas tree is not absorbing water,is that very bad?

I put my Christmas tree up 3 days ago and filled the tree stand with sugar water. It has the cuts in the trunk to help it absorb water, but the stand is still almost full. The needles are still very green and soft.I have never had this happen before, with past trees I have had to fill it every day or every other day.Should I be concerned about it drying out or is this normal? Thanks in advance!

  • Smell of nail polish remover outside nightly, should I be worried?

Every night when I walk outside of my house I get a very strong smell of what seems like nail polish remover, but I don't know where it is coming from.I have read that sometimes this means that someone is cooking meth nearby. Is there another logical reason for this? It's pretty unnerving since it is a VERY strong chemical smell. Thanks in advance!

  • The bottom of my ceramic mugs seem to be absorbing water?

I have a set of Pfaltzgraff dishes and the bottom of a couple of the mugs(the ring part that actually touches a surface such as the counter or table) have taken on a disgusting grey color, kind of like they absorbed water or something. Is this because they didn't have enough sealer on them?Is there a way to get rid of this (it's really disgusting looking) and is there a product that I can seal the rest with so it doesn't happen to the rest of them? Thanks in advance!

  • Please help,is there a substitute for browning a pie crust without brushing egg on top?

I just finished preparing an apple pie and realized I have no egg to brush on the top. It's all ready to go in the oven so I don't want to have to run to the store. Is there anything I can substitute to brown the top of the pie? Thanks in advance!

  • Memory card failed?

I have a memory card for my camera that I use daily and transfer the pics onto my computer. When I tried to do this today, the computer said something about error I/O device.I thought it was the computer, but all the devices seem to be working properly.

I reviewed the pictures on the camera before putting it in the drive and they were fine, but now when I insert the memory card back into the camera it says it needs to be reformatted, but when I press OK,it goes back to the same screen. So does it sound like I need a new memory card? Thanks in advance!

  • Gardeners and plant experts-what is this weed ?

I first saw this plant a couple of years ago in my neighbor's yard.Last year they invaded my yard.I dug them out individually but they have run rampant this year,so I guess I didn't do a good enough job. When they are small the roots are very thin and break easily. When they are larger(some of my neighbor's are the size of a dinner plate!) they have a thick root in the middle.I have never seen one flower. If you break off the root or even the stems it has a bright-almost glowing-orange sap like liquid that stains your hands.

Is there a safe way to eradicate them without using poisons...and if not what can I use? Thanks in advance!

  • Has anyone heard of something from "Question It?" Answer Box?

I just received an email claiming to be from something called the "Question It" Answer Box,saying that someone(the name is someone I know, but not close) asked me a question on the "Answer Box" and to download the site to view the question.I read the email, but didn't open the download. It sounds very suspicious, especially because this person doesn't have me on any "joke" or "chain letter" list so how would someone make the connection of the supposed asker's email address and my email address? Thanks in advance!

  • Bird watchers/experts...hawks specifically??

I live in a city(in New England). It has plenty of trees and we have several types of nice birds that visit our bird feeders, but recently a hawk has taken up residence nearby. Is this normal in a city or are they being displaced somehow?I have seen him get a pigeon,a sparrow and he actually went after a squirrel!

I suppose there is no way to get rid of him,but I am now leary about our birdfeeders, afraid they will be "sittting ducks"-no pun intended-for him.

Any info is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  • Lists of "Made in America" toys for preschoolers?

Does anyone have a list of toys that are made in America?

My kids(they are toddlers)are invited to many birthday parties, and the parents are increasingly asking for NO toys or only toys made in America.

Also,my own kids have been tested for lead, and though they are well under the limit for lead poisoning, the level has not gone down and in one of them it actually went up a point. They are both 3 1/2 and they generally don't put toys in their mouth, but this is obviously a concern for me.I had my house tested and it was negative so I have no clue where the exposure is coming from.

I would love to have websites, store names, product line names and individual toy names that are made in America, the more the better. Thanks in advance!!

  • Easy blender cheesecake recipe...please read?

I lost my recipe for a simple cheesecake :(

I know it had 3 pkgs of cream cheese, vanilla, sugar, eggs.

It was put into a blender then poured into a ready graham cracker crust and baked-but I don't remember the amounts or temp and length to cook it.

If you have this same recipe could you please post it for me?Thanks in advance!
