Answer is x=4. I don't know the steps to solve it

when I got to the fraction part there was obviously no common denominator for 17 so i split it into two fractions...wrong.

(2 - 6i) (5 + i) i got... = -10 - 11i - 6i ^2 = -10 - 11i - 6(-1) = -10 - 11i + 6 = -4 - 11i

In the example, the guy had -7 and 2 as the last number in each parentheses and he got -9 and I have no clue how to get that middle number which is probably why I missed this problem.

it was wrong. I don't mean to depend on you guys to give me the right answer, but I am a person who makes A's in everything else but went to summer school multiple times to pass high school math courses. And as i've said before I am in a program that pays for my college but only a certain number of classes so I'd hate to fail College Algebra the third time and yet again get closer to my class amount limit.

This is what i did as step two:

(4 - 9i) + (-9 - 7i)

4 - 9i -9 -7i = -5 - 16i

that wasnt right so i tried simplifying the 9 in the square root of -81 to 3..

4 - 3i - 9 - 7i = -5 - 10i

neither were right.

please give me the answer.

This is my second go with College Algebra. I am a junior in college going to school on a financial aid program that only covers me a limited number of classes so I cannot keep re-taking this class. I am 20, and my question is will my body be the same when I'm 25-30 as it is now. When I was 18 I remember I was less curvy and now I have more veins around my breasts and such. It has been months, but I am grief striken. I am 20. The first instance was last July. My boyfriend and I went to a park where a bob tail tuxedo kitten wandered to us, and it was meant to be. 2 months later, his step dad said he decided he didn't want an animal living at his house anymore, and gave my boyfriend one week to re home him. Needless to say, that was not enough so we were forced to take the animal to a shelter. I was so upset that my boyfriend got me a pure white cat at another shelter to live at my house this time (we will finally be living together this august) and I was planning on of course taking the cat with me.

This cat was special, she had had several homes and had been abused in some ways. After a few months I took her to my boyfriends house while his parents were on a trip so he can be with her awhile. He decided he didn't like her and......he threw her out. It was horrible. He started with trying to pick her up to take her to his woods but she ran into the fireplace, he takes a broom and pokes at her, and she runs up a curtain covered in soot, he opens a door and pokes her out with the broom. The whole time I was screaming and crying in his room. Needless to say it was horrible and instead of coping, I've been becoming more grief stricken. He said he wasn't going to live with that cat one day and he as a college student isn't going to pay for a cat that doesn't love normally.

If my boyfriend doesn't love me so much I would leave him. He loves me so so much he also has other problems that contributed to his mental decision of abandoning this cat. I can't stop thinking of the first cat dying in a shelter and the second cat dying in the woods..

I'm at the point that next year I don't even want a cat. I'm haunted by what happened and don't know how to heal.

That's right, zero. I have had my discover card a little over a month. I'm 20. This is my first card

Before this I wrote out checks sometimes and I have a debit card. When I received my credit card it came with a letter stating my current credit score, around 800. I use my credit card a few times a month, monthly balance always under 20$. I pay the balance off in full a few days before the monthly payment is due. However, I applies for a loan a week ago at my bank and they told me the credit bureau told them I don't have a credit history at all.

I am 20 and have hard fibrous tissue and lumps in both breasts. Sometimes they are more tender than others. It jsut scares me cause I've heard it takes years for fibrous lumps to form so that means my body has been forming this since I hit puberty. Do not give a post telling me I need to see a doctor, I live in a small rural soutehrn town and all doctors/OBGYNs I have seen just encourage popping a pill, and fibrocystic breasts there is no cure a doctor can give.My question is tell me if my plan sounds good:

Paint quarter size of iodine on breast. Calcium and magnesium supplements. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda mixed with lemon juice. All taken every few days. And Evening Primrose caplets each day.

I adopted a cat a few weeks ago. white British short hair mix, 1 year old. i raw feed her and give her Wellness dry food and cans. she has been in 2 shelters previously before i got her, the owner before me brought her back to the shelter because she is not a normal cat. she is very shy and finicky. she is not aggressive, but runs away easily. she mainly stays under my bed. but she now walks around my room when i'm there and she eats in front of me. she lets me pet her and i play with her several times a day for about 10 minute sessions each. i made my room to be as suited for a cat as possible, becasue she is very afraid to leave my room. i bought an Amarakat tree, an 8 foot one. i have put treats on the tree and she still wont climb it. i have put her on several levels of the tree and she jumps down. she does however, like a small cat cube i have on the floor. how can i get her to use the tree?

oh, also, she does use the scratching post on the tree but doesn't play with the toys i put on the tree or lay in the cat condos on the tree. do the condos remind her of another cage or something?

my other indoor/outdoor cat doesn't like the tree either....and the two cats do not interact and mostly ignore each other. probably because my white cat lives mostly under my bed.

we are 19. boyfriend has 10 months worth on pictures on his computer. he's always paranoid about viruses for some reason. he deleted every single picture. i'm mad. should i be? or no reason to be mad? would you be mad?
