  • Do you really think that the Rebate Check is so great?

When I see the questions of people asking about the status of their rebate checks I am just amazed. Now do get me wrong I glad I got my rebate check in the bank but do you really think this rebate check is going to solve anything? Look at gas and food prices. I rather have permanent tax cuts than receiving a one time rebate check. By receiving these rebate checks it clearly indicates to me that the US Government is taking too much money from us in the first place. There are people who are not required to file an income tax return and are getting a little rebate check such as $300. Plus the money that was wasted in processing this program such as the IRS notices that was mailed out to millions of people. What we really need is massive permanent tax relief from all levels of government and not a little rebate check to jump start the economy.

  • Is it worth it to become a Medical Ward Clerk?

Before I spend the time, money and the effort, is it worth it to become a cerified Medical Ward Clerk. I have the opportunity to take one course (6 semester hours) at my local community college so I can obtain employment as a Ward Clerk at either a hospital or a Nursing Home. Does anyone have an idea of the pay range? Request serious answers, thanks.

  • Do you think now we have been paying too much in Taxes all along?

By getting this summer's rebate check, it just shows that our Federal Government is getting too much taxes from us. I rather have a permanent tax cut than get an one-time rebate check. Is this rebate check an advance of my next year's refund? Also, just imagine the cost of processing all of these rebate checks and sending out the notices to everyone. This is a complete waste of money. It is going to take a lot more to stimulate our economy than just receiving a rebate check.

  • Would you use my services?

For some time, I have been thinking of starting a business by providing a service to help others budget their money. I talking about using the money that a person all ready earns and ways of using it wisely. I was planning to put together a budget plan on what to consider as far as goals and the pitfalls of spending beyond your means. I do not plan to advise people of buying investments because I am sure there are legal requirements and certifications that a person has to have. So what do you think of my idea? Would you consider on using my services? I have been a Business Math Instructor for several years, have some tax preparation experience and personally have learned on how to stay debt free. I welcome your opinions. Thanks.

  • Do you want to learn about a new scam alert?

This morning, I read that the IRS is warning taxpayers about an email scam which looks like it is from the IRS and the U.S. Government seeking chariable contributions to the victims of Southern California's wildfires. People are getting trick into providing information giving access to bank accounts, applying for new loans and credit cards, or obtaining benefits in the victim's name. Email recipients of questionable messages (claiming to be from the IRS) can call a toll-free hotline at 800-366-4484.

  • Why don't people find out more about their tax situation in the US?

I just do not understand why people do not learned more about their tax situation. I am not talking about complicated things like selling houses, or receiving rent, or selling stock. I am referring to about their filing statuts, filling out W4 forms when they get hire, cashing out 401k plans, just basic tax 101 stuff. Personally, I think every working person in the USA should fill out their own tax returns at least once in their lives. It is obvious by reviewing some of the questions on Yahoo Answers that high schools are not dealing with it and they should. What are you views?

  • Should I list all of my jobs?

I have not had a full time job since July 2000. This is not by my choice. I have been working several part-time jobs since then just to get some sort of income. Now, I am facing two possible full time jobs which I have a couple of weeks to review my application and resume. A few of these jobs that I had only lasted two to three weeks. Should I worry about it? I'm a little concern that I will have to many jobs indicated on my documents and would that signal a red flag to a perspective employer? At one of these jobs I sold cars for about three weeks and I worked for this same employer before for over 3 years as a Personnel Director. Would appreciate some good advice here. Could potential employers find out about my complete work history by checking some database somewhere? I always wondered about that. I consider myself to be underemployed and I'm older than 50. I have two types of resumes. 1 is the accurate one and 2 the not some accurate one (left some stuff off).

  • Are you getting tired of receiving junk mail?

How do you get rid of your junk mail especially the pre-approved credit card offers? I have call, place myself on the opt-out mailing lists, even tear up their offers and mailed it all back to various companies using their postage paid return envelopes. The danger in receiving these credit card offers is this: It sits in your mailbox and someone comes along and pretends to be you. So how do you deal with it?

For tax purposes, what is a business according to IRS rules? My plan is to have a business dealing with lending money to other people and paying delinquent real estate property taxes.
