  • What the (bleep) happened?

Over two years ago I started dating a guy from work. We were very much in love and for the first time I was very content and happy in a relationship. However I had some concerns about our long term compatibility. We ended up breaking up because of those incompatibilities and I was heartbroken. A few weeks after the breakup he wanted to work things out, which I tried but after being so hurt, I couldn't do it. We remained friendly at work and often talked and laughed together. Months later at work, he told me that our break up was the biggest mistake he ever made, he had lost the best thing that ever happened to him and he was still broken up about it.

At the time I had moved on and told him everything happened for the best and I felt certain he would realize that too.

A week later, he stopped talking to me, laughing with me, looking at me, and just acted like he no longer cared about me at all and wouldn't tell me why. I ended up quitting the job and moved on from the company.

I still wonder what happened and why he became so distant all of a sudden.

I also still have dreams of him and although I am engaged to a wonderful man, I miss certain aspects of my relationship with my ex and am always wondering...

    What the (bleep) happened?

    Any ideas?

  • For real estate investors Re: leasing units?

As an investor, would you utilize a service that exclusively leases your units out for you rather then the full property manager spectrum thereby charging you less then having a monthly property management fee? This service is offering to advertise your unit, take and return calls about the unit, show it to prospective tenants, conduct tenant screening, lease signings and move-in walk-thrus. The rest ie: maintenance requests and collecting rent would be left to the investor.

How much would you be willing to pay for this service if it your unit was leased with attention to detail, professionalism, and by someone with years of experience leasing residential units?

  • Just want to travel?

I'm 30 and have been working hard at a full time job for the past decade and finally finished my degree at the end of 2006. I'm ready to leave the work force and travel for a little while. I've always wanted to stay in France, Spain, and Guatemala. Any ideas on being able to afford this luxury(that doesn't include being a flight attendant)?

  • Getting over obsession about his amazing ex-girlfriend?

So my boyfriend and I have been dating for 11 months and I cant seem to shake my jealousy about his ex. She is perfect. She has a perfect family, comes from money and a family full of success, is very pretty, according to my bf has "amazing eyes", and just finished law school at age 28. Our life situtaions, backgrounds, family, appearences are the exact opposite. Not to mention she shared so many lovely experiences with my boyfriend like living in Costa Rica, sharing a home, gettting a dog, traveling in various parts of the world. I just cant imgaine how I could compare to what she is and what they had. I cant get past the feeling he gave up the best thing that happened to him, his ex.

I know, most people will say, that he is with me now and to get over it, but that never seems to help.

What mind switch helps to get past this feeling?

  • Criterea for a couples counselor?

My BF and I are looking to get into couples counseling to work out somethings before we dive head first into a future together. But just picking a name out of the phone book feels a bit odd.

What are some criterea, besides education and license, should we be looking for?

If you have any insight into this maybe you are a counselor or have been to counseling, would love to hear from you.

  • What is the point of an exclusive relationship?

I am in an exclusive relationship of 6 months with a man that I love. What I personally want for myself is to not be exclusive until being engaged. I view exclusivity as a way to claim someone as 'yours' without the commitment of marriage. I dont plan on dating others, but I want to have the option since I dont have a ring on my finger. How do I tell him that that is how I feel without hurting his feelings?

  • How long to put up with his dog that bites me?

I know that I have written about this before, but I am totally at a road block. I love my boyfriend and we talk often about a future together. His dog has aggression issues and aggresively bites me when ever he feels like it. So far, in the past 5 months, he has bitten me 5 times, the last time being yesterday when he was sitting on my lap.

My BF has had a trainer over and we have been training him since January but this still continues. The trainer emailed me saying that this dog is the type that will bite when given the opprotunity. I dont want to live in a house with a biting dog for myself, my cat and my future children.

I dont know what to do as I feel like my only choice is to leave the relationship or live with this disrespectful dog. My boyfriend says he will not get rid of the dog.

What other choices do I have? What would you do?

  • BF read my emails?

He read my emails just after we agreed to be exclusive because he felt I was dating my ex at the same time before we were exclusive and he wanted to confirm it with himself. Well he did confirm it but he said that his computer lost power and when it came back on, my email account came up. I've been so careful to sign out of my email account everytime so I was perplexed how that could happen. I called my computer friends who confirmed that the circumstances (browser etc) make it unlikely it happened that way rather that he has keystroke memory or something. We've moved past it as he read my emails 5 months ago, but the idea of him reading my emails really bugs me.

Should I confront him on this even though we have moved past it?

  • Dog issues?

I like dogs, would love to have one of my own, however over time I have grown to not like my BF's dog and this concerns me because we would like to have a future together.

The dog has been raised without ANY standards for behavior until I came in the picture. He is an obnoxious, sometimes very misbehaving, biting, and dominating small dog. His breed is not good for households with small children and his consistent biting of me and other guests cause me concern. It wasnt until I put my foot down that my BF got the trainer over to help with the behavior problems. Since then somethings have become better, yet he still behaves in the ways I have just mentioned.

I dont know how to handle this, I cant sleep at night thinking about how my BF comes as this package and I have to choose to step away or accept this dog that I am growing to not like.

Any words of advice or ideas? This issue is really bothering me.

  • How to handle jealousy?

I have been dating my BF for 6 months now. He has an ex that he was with for 3.5 years and she lived with him. They did together everything I have ever dreamed of doing with the love of my life from living together, adopting a dog to traveling the world and living in Costa Rica. I hate to be so small, but the jealousy of their experiences together keeps me from wanting to do those things with him too since he has already had these experiences with someone else. I sometimes wonder how I could possibly compare to the woman that he did everything wonderful with.

Any advice on how to get past the feelings of jealousy? I know he is with me now, but the logic behind thinking that doesnt help much.

  • Can you really take back something you have already said?

My BFs dog has been biting me consistently for the past three months. His biting me really bothers me and I will not stand for it to continue happening. But last night when I was talking to my BF about it, he said that I am the only one that is or has been bothered by dog biting. Almost after he heard what he said he asked to take it back and I let it slide. Yet I wonder, if he said it, he must have actaully been thinking that the problem is mine since I am the only one that cares if the dog bites.

Is a slip of the tongue just something we are actually thinking but it sounds terrible to say it or do we actually say things we dont mean?

  • Biting dog?

My BF and I have been working on training his 2 year old dog that had little training or discipline while growing up and had behavior/manner issues. The improvement has been notable, but the dog still bites me.

He bit me for the 4th time in the 6 months I have been dating my BF and my resentment towards the dog grows a little every time he bites me. Everytime he has bit me, it has been when I am being nice to the dog, so I dont feel like I am doing something wrong.

I have concerns about us brining kids into a situation with a tempermental dog and I certianly dont want to live with a dog thta treats me that way.

I try to keep my heart open to the dog despite the biting, but I just am starting to not want to.

Any suggestions on how to get him to stop biting? Or other solutions to the issue?

  • Love him, love his dog.?

My boyfriend and I are getting fairly serious and have discussed marriage and having a family. He has a a small dog that I like but feel very happy to not have as my own dog. There are behavior issues that cause me concern. For instance, the dog has destoyed his very nice living room furniture, he plays very aggessively and bites causing me concern if we had children and what the dog may do to babies, he jumps on people constantly, due to his type of breed he cannot urinate normally so he ends up urinating on himself and getting that all over the bedding which I am sure cant really be helped but its gross to have the dog soaked in pee and in the bed. Not to mention he terrorizes my BFs cats so that they cannot leave the garage and come into the house. I cant imagine my cat being terrorized by this dog if we lived together.

If we got married something would have to change. Has anyone had a simliar situation that was able to be worked out that you can share with me how it was done?
