First time installer of a new toilet here. I got the following model from Lowes:

The tank is supposed to be secured to the bowl using two screws with rubber washers on them. In the middle of everything, there is a large foam gasket, that goes between the bowl and the toilet. Exactly like the one seen here:

My problem is that the foam gasket raises the toilet too high up off the bowl, thus creating a wobbly tank (it wobbles front to back). I'm afraid of tightening down the screws any more so that I don't break the china. Am i supposed to invert the gasket? I have followed the directions to every word, several times over, and cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Any tips?

I'm trying to find anywhere on the internet where he has demonstrated a policy or view on industrial hemp. I've found a tirade of other clips where he has spoken about marijuana - but he never talks about industrial hemp, which is an entirely different thing. Does anyone know of any sources?

I'd like to attach a metal swinging arm to my desk that holds a microphone. I sit very far back in my chair, and I don't want a clip-on microphone or one that stands on the desk. Plus, it'd be fun to build something. So, I need a swinging-arm type metal thing that swings out and up. Sort of like the one that's on the lamp in this photo:

As many of you know, the line at Best Buy will be quite long tonight/tomorrow morning in anticipation for Black Friday.

Would it be illegal of me to go down there while the store is not yet open, and hand out fliers offering my computer services for the people waiting in line? I've tried to do a bit of research online regarding "solicitation," but I'm coming up short for an answer regarding this.

A simple question, only for health concerns really.

I seem to enjoy my ramen noodles as soon as I please, so I usually skip the step of actually boiling the water before pouring it into the styrofoam cup (I buy the cup noodles - not the packets).

Are there any sanitary concerns with this? Or should "hot" water do just fine? I usually just let the hot water sit in the cup for about 5 minutes, then microwave the whole thing for about 10 seconds, and it's good to go.

In one episode, there was a guy who got into a car crash, and his eyeball popped out and he had to get a replacement glass eye, so he got one, but apparently it was from this dead person, who then came back to haunt him. All I remember is the dead person screaming "you stole my eye!"

Anyone know where this might be from?

I have a year old cat that I took in about 10 weeks after it was born at a friends house. The friend owned the mother cat. Another of my friends took one of the siblings from the litter, and the rest stayed at home.

My question is, if I were to get all of these cats together for a 'reunion', would it go well? Or would it be a fight to the death? My cat doesn't like other cats - but would it 'recognize' its family?

If I didn't get haircuts, I would lose business. I must get haircuts in order to keep business flowing. Therefore, can I write off a haircut as a business expense?

I've got a great OTTO Gaming USB headset. The quality is great, both on the microphone and the audio, but sometimes I just like to listen to the audio through my speakers, but communicate on the microphone. Especially because after a while, it hurts my ears.

If I go into the speaker settings, and mixer, and change the outbound from the USB headset to the onboard audio, it still outputs through the headset. Is that because it takes control as an entirely new audio device?

I know getting a regular 1/8th inch jack microphone would "solve the problem", but I'm looking for a way to output to both devices, plain and simple.

I need to network a shack to my house, and its 150 feet away. If I ran the cable underground (with proper insulation and protection, of course), would two 100 foot Cat6 cables with a coupler in between do the trick? Or is that too long, and would it lose quality?

In radio booths, they have microphones that swing on an arm that can be pushed and pulled in many directions. I'd like to build the same thing for my desk with a microphone attachment, but really have no idea where to start with the materials for that. Home depot maybe? What would I be getting? Are there pre-made arms like that that I can mount?

Very basic question. Looking for all different theories, opinion and scientific.

For example, I'll make a link, then line break it down to the next line. Then I have to go back up to the link and take out the extra space they added after the last character.

Example:

I want no space after this sentence.

In the second line, "x" marks a single space they inserted that I have to go back and delete.

Any suggestions? It's very annoying.
