You don't have to agree with slavery to honor those who fell for the SOUTH! Most of them had never even seen a slave and the War of Southern Rebellion WAS NOT fought to free the slaves.

Seems to me there's been an 180* shift in attitudes in just three months. Anyone can bash Whites as much as they want. If you even THINK a negative thought about a person of color you will be labeled a bigot and shouted down.

Why do 'Persons of Color' get a free pass?

My cousin's daughter has a three-year-old and wants to join the Air Force. In my day - this was impossible. I think child care is available after Boot Camp.

Is that correct?

Would her folks have to watch the baby until she gets her first posting at which time the Base will have child care?

Did any of you hear the reports on the Georgia School Principal who informed her student body that they were NOT, in fact, pledging Allegiance to the United States of America BUT directly to Barack Obama.

I heard it on Neil Bortz (?) this afternoon - a program I don't usually listen to. He followed up that a child told his mother, who then called the School Board and Bortz. When Bortz tried to talk to the Principal he was referred to "the County."

She stated that ALL the students, or maybe 99.9% of the Student Body, favored Obama so now they would pledge their allegiance directly to him.

Today, the following day, she announced to the entire school that there was a "snitch" in their midst and this information should not have been shared with parents. "What happens in school - stays in school."

You can't make this stuff up.

I'm currently listening to NBC News (I know-a mistake). A kid is calling homework slavery and has gotten published in newspapers and guested on talk shows. He's 8!!! What is wrong with this COUNTRY???

Paterson was never intended to be Governor. He fell into it after Eliot got spanked.

When Flight 3407 went down at 10:20 pm last Thursday-our esteemed Governor was here within 12 hours to "comfort the families."

He now has "Ordered" that all flags in NY fly at half staff next Monday. We've been doing thus since the crash...

This is the FIRST time he's been in Western New York. Photo Op do you think? It was embarrassing and hurtful to our entire Community which lost MANY people on that plane.

It appears that, as usual, Upstate and Western are being screwed to pay for the City AND our Welfare State will be better than ever at the expense of the Middle Class (who pay taxes). (I wonder if Geithner paid STATE tax on that which he failed to pay Federal Tax on??)
