I just wanted to know from moms out there if you feel you are smarter now that you've had a child. There have been studies done about this, with findings that child-bearing's actually been beneficial to women's memories. Would you say that you are more focused since you've become mothers?

I've heard it is anywhere from as if you had fasted the entire year, to an entire life-time. Do you know of any hadith that can answer this? Salam, Safiyah

I'm looking to buy a cello, instead of renting one, which is what I am currently doing. Does anyone here know of a place that sells quality instraments in California? I'm also probably going to end up buying a used one, preferably under $1500. Thanks.

time? You'd think that if it gives them that much of a coniption fit, that they just wouldn't want to do it any more. Have you noticed these kinds of people, too? Isn't this just for entertainment? That's all I use this site for, and if it wasn't fun for me any more, I just wouldn't do it any more. Why do these coniption fitters feel the need to spoil the party?

I am planning to eventually buy a house over-seas, and since I also plan to stay here for a few months out of the year, I am looking into buying a place here also. I am having a hard time deciding on which would be better for those few months(I plan to stay in America for the three months of summer). I'm interested in hearing from folks who are small property owners.

I love talapia. That is an excellent one, and just about the only fish I eat. I have to fry it to make it taste good, though. I'm looking for fish that's good on the grill(watching my fat intake), tastes good, and with not a lot of bones. Thanks.

Ah, the joys of motherhood. Women are expected to do it all, right? And guess what goes first? Our sleep. I was wondering how you ladies deal with this. I would also like to share a secret of my own. When I am especially tired, and I must get up and go, I'll fill my basin with ice water, put a snorkel in my mouth(no joke), and dunk my face into the water for as long as I can. I know it sounds silly, but man, it works! You'll look like you're 20 years old again. Any more tips? I am especially interested in make-up tricks. Thanks.

I've noticed they are changing things around all the time, and I don't think it makes a bit of difference. If it wasn't broken before, why fix it?

The reason I say "some" is because there are some really respectful people here, who are just asking questions seeking knowledge. I would be happy to answer their questions all day, if I knew the result would be to create more understanding. There are some folks here, though, that are not very good representatives of the religions they say they are practicing, because they are so full of hatred. Isn't it wrong to hate in any religion?

Personally, I am celebrating by cooking a lot, Insha Allah. lol. Seriously, though, Eid is such a special time. It is a time not only to reflect on how we spent our time during Ramadan, and hoping to recieve so many blessings from it. That is part of it, but my fellow Muslims, I would also like you to reflect this Eid on how fortunate most of us are, and to think of those who will not have food for Eid, and other things we take for granted. Any hunger we've felt is really nothing in comparison. May Allah bless this Eid for you all, and I am sending my love to you all. Assalamoalakum, Sister Safiyyah
