What's the name of the actor who plays Albus Dumbledore in the most recent HP movie?

I'm new to writing fan fiction (I just finished a short HP piece) and I'm wondering about some terms I'm seeing bandied around.

What does "slash," "one-shot," and "beta," mean? I know this is probably a stupid question, but you don't get an answer without asking, right ;)

I've been blogging for about a year or so now. At the beginning I adored it. I loved connecting with people through my journaling and what not.

But in recent months, I've just lost my motivation for the whole thing. I cut almost two thirds of my friends list because I wasn't keeping up with their blogs and I don't post nearly as much as I once did.

I want to keep things interesting and changing for those who actually keep up with my now sporadic postings. Any tips on how to get my passion for blogging back?

I'm thinking about getting my nose pierced. If you've had such a piercing, could you please help me on these following points of interest?

1.) Is it extremely painful (scale of 1-10, one being not at all)?

2.) Does the piercing become easily infected?

3.) Say I want to take out the stud...will the hole be terribly obvious? Will the hole heal if I leave the stud out?

4) Have people treated you differently because of your piercings?

5.) Can you tell me exactly how the piercing is done, step by step?

Even if you only answer one of these questions, you'd be helping me out about my decision to have the piercing or not.

This show has got to be one of the best anime's out there, but I've got no idea when Nick is planning to bring it back, or even if they are.

Does any one know when this show returns? I can't remember if it is a summer or fall show, but I adore it and miss it.

I'm thinking very seriously about joining the PeaceCorps or perhaps MercyCorps.

I've been debating about signing up for an online dating service. Something simple, maybe through Yahoo. I'm not the type of female to go chasing after guys, and though I'm looking, I don't usually frequent single locations like bars or clubs.

My whole family suffers from insomenia, my self included. But I discovered recently that if I eat a little piece of chocolate just after I wake up (dark works best) that I fall back asleep almost imediately. Any one know why?

I'm currently dating an older man (eight years older), and have found that this relationship has become far more rewarding and fulfilling than any relationship I've had before. Yet, I've never dated a man who was older than me before. On average, the guys were my age, or younger.

I believe that each person, because of their own life experiences, has developed their own mythology. This too, is a concept in most socialogy.

This mythos is unique to each person, and is shaped through out a person's life time. Comprised of ethics, beliefs, hopes, terrors, joys, disappointments, and so forth.

Often, after cutting or cooking, with onions, my skin, or hands, smell like them. Is there some way of treating the onions so that they don't scent my skin like that?

I, personally believe, that if you're trust love to solve a problem, you're not looking at the problem objectively.

Other elements, such as trust, honest, open communication and an open mind, are needed to make love effective in any measure.
