Me and my girlfriend have dating for about 1 1/2 years. We are both 21. We still live with are parents ('m finding a way to move on my own soon). Her mother has dictated when we can and cannot see each other. she has determined when or when not her daughter can be around my family. I have made countless of sacrifices on my own to be there for my girlfriend when ever she has needed me and when her family goes out to do something fun. But the control had caused me and my girlfriend many arguments and rough times. The first time she told me to have faith that all will get better, and it didn't. The second time she said the same thing, didn't really change much. Her mother told her she couldn't be my sponsor or go to my confirmation this April because it is her 56th birthday. She was told she couldn't go to my graduation.

This week we almost broke up but smy girlfriend convinced me to stay and have faith. BUT she was having a conversation on the phone with he rmother and I could hear her mom say, "I have no respect for him and he seems needy and insecure."

Then I get two voice mail messages of my girlfriend trying to explain to me that things are better. However her mom still has lost respect for me. Her mom needs her space and time. My confirmation is still a no no. My graduation from COLLEGE is a maybe. And my gf is trying to convince me that her mother is looking at everything from a mothering perspective and is looking out for the two of us.

I feel DONE. I don't know what to do. My girlfriend keeps calling and texting "I love you and every things going to be great and I'm so excited for our future."

So for the past year I ahve begun to question most conservative beliefs in Christianity. Also, through research and study I even question literal interpretations of SOME parts of the Bible, not all though. I feel like I am a more progressive Christian than I used to be. Don't get me wrong though I love the Bible (I just don't think all of it should be interpreted word for word) , I love God, I bleieve in heaven and angels. But My theology is more liberal than conservative. Is that wrong? I kind of feel like a bad person at times.

I just started going to RCIA a few days ago and read about Saint Elizabeth Seton. I feel very much drawn to her. I was wondering if there was a male that was canonized as a saint that is similar to her and her mission. Thanks :)

I am currently hanging onto the cross like a lifesaver in the middle of the ocean lol. I have been very confused in my faith and have been tossed back and forth like a wave in the sea constantly running from Jesus and running back to him. Im just frustrated because I feel like I cant trust any pastors interpretations of the bible anymore, many christians dont seem to live like christ, and i get confused because many friends of other religions i know have had miraculous and life changing encounters with their gods so how can Jesus be the only way to God? Please help my mind has been spinning for months!

I had a dream last night about Tarot Cards. I am a Christian so I really feel in my heart that Tarot brings negative energy. I used to practice witchcraft and paganism some years ago before I became a Christian. However in my dream, everywhere I went there were Tarot cards. At one point in my dream tarot cards began flying everywhere and each one contained beautiful art and colors (lots of blues, whites, reds, and golds). It brought me some joy and comfort in that moment. But then I ended up getting rid of them and then ended up feeling depressed and anxious for the rest of my dream.

So anyway, I am really confused this morning. I feel like I want a deck, but don't want to displease God. Any interpretations, ideas, and advice?

I'm 20. Me and my girlfriend have been dating for about 4 months now and we do love each other. However we have gotten a little far physically (not intercourse, but touching certain areas). Well my relationship with God has been hard and I believe it is because of that reason. I recently repented and asked God for strength to have a purity talk with her. She is also my age and is a Christians but doesn't really think there is anything wrong with foreplay and such. I have tried to set strict boundaries before but felt I was being too strict and so gave in. However I am serious this time. My question is. How do I go about having a purity talk. How do I prepare myself and how do I stick with it? Im kind of nervous.
