My mom was jus diagnosed with sciatica and experiencing unbearable pain. It went from a small pain in her left buttocks to excruciating pain in her whole left buttock, hip, and back thigh within two weeks. She’s been put on a number of different pain medications that don’t seem to be working. She was put on Vicodin and that worked for a couple of hours one day but did nothing for her the next. She’s on another medication and says it takes her pain from a 10 to an 8 but that is not enough. She went to a massage therapist and felt great while on the table after a bit but as soon as she got up it was killing her again. I’ve read some find a chiropractor helped them when others say it made their sciatic worse. Any suggestions for pain management or professional help? This is just awful and my heart breaks for my mom and anyone who has ever experienced this.

Republicans are upset that Obama is not going (Though he will be attending services elsewhere). I just don’t see why they are upset with him and were not with Regan and Bush. Can anyone explain this?

As a preschool teacher I have to say that I’ve been on the floor on many occasions! Today I had a 3 year old boy, William, ask me to put his name on his painting. He brought me his name card to “help” me write it. As I was writing the letters he started saying “W i eleven i a m.” Classic!

I have a friend who runs a Montessori school. I go to help her out sometimes in her classroom. She has many children in her class that when together, do not really do much work. They may get something out to do but often just “play” with it (Like the object boxes) and get a really goofy during work time. I brought this up with her and she said that she feel she just needs to “follow the child” and feels what these children do is okay. I just think she interprets “Follow the child” into “Let the children do whatever they want.” This is not what Maria Montessori meant. I wanted to try and find a way to gently approach my friend with this. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I never know what to cook when having some vegetarian and meat eating guest at the same time! I usually end up cooking two separate meals and hate to do that. What can I make that includes meat for the meat eaters and none for the vegetarian?

It started when I tried to take a CD out of the drive and it wouldn't open. I put a pin in the hole and slid it open to get the CD out. I won't open or close at all. When I go into Windows Media Player and click on "rip" I get a message that says "A CD drive is needed in order to rip music from CDs." What can I do?

I’m looking for a 5.8 GHz digital cordless phone system with an answering machine. One handset will do but seeing that my old one just conked out 2 Handsets may be better. For the past month there were often times when I would put the key into the ignition and turn it, it would take a few seconds to start. Other times it would start right away. Today it won’t start at all. When I put the key in and turn it makes a whistling type of sound. The lights come on so my guess is that it is not the battery. What else could it be?
