Brand new LG 60PN5300 plasma turning off by itself.?
I purchased a *brand new* (not open box or refurbished) LG 60PN5300 plasma television (60") on the 26th. After approximately four hours of use last night (the 27th) it started turning off. At the time I was watching Netflix via a PS3 in a climate controlled house (not outside). After it turned off I used the remote to turn it on again, and five to ten minutes later it turned off again. This happened about three times before I started trying to research this problem (with the TV off). When I turned the TV back on after not finding a suitable answer, it remained on for the remainder of my viewing (about another 30-45 minutes). What gives?
Thank you.
3 AnswersTVs7 years agoWhat lb. test should I use for salmon and steelhead?
I'm going to the Klamath river in NorCal in a few weeks to fish for steelies and salmon. If I only have one reel, can I go with the upper limit of test, i.e. 14 (or 20lb) test to be on the safe side? If the steelhead are running 4-10 lbs but the salmon are running 5-20 lbs I don't want to have to switch out reels.

What's a good letter of explanation for being late on student loan payments, in regard to getting pre-approved for a home loan, other than I was flat broke and had no money.

How do I melee a bear in Red Dead Redemption for Hunter challenge number 8? That sh*t is HARD! I hit him like 6-7 times, he's still alive, and he always gets the better of me with his 1-2 punch out.

A) Besides riding on trails, say, in Memorial Park, is it illegal to ride a horse in the city limits? (Serious question.)
B) Can you get a DWI while riding a horse? Or rather a RWI? (Just curious question.)

I recently transplanted an aloe plant from a pot into the ground, along with taking some fully rooted sprouts and planting those as well. What is a good regimen of fertilizer/plant food that helps aloe grow healthily and aid in sprouting flowers?
1 AnswerGarden & Landscape1 decade agoCan I use the Verizon equivalent of the AT&T Tilt(TM) or the Verizon Wireless XV6800 with Cingular?
My friend has the older version of the Verizon Wireless XV6800 (bout a year old). I know that whoever makes this phone made one pretty much identical to the one that Cingular has.
My question is can I buy my friend's phone, that is on the Verizon network, then switch out SIM cards or do something to have it work on for me on Cingular?
2 AnswersPDAs & Handhelds1 decade agoWhat componets for rebuilding my computer?
I'm planning on rebuilding my computer (or maybe just buying a whole new one). I built my own last time, but that was back in 2000 and I'm a bit rusty on the new hardware.
This will be for a machine that is for a gaming rig. I'd like to be able to stop playing HL2 and Crysis and games like them on LOW settings all the time.
For one thing, I have no idea what this new "Core Duo" thing is from Intel. The Ghz is about the same, so I'm assuming there are two of them?
And it seems now you can get dual video cards? Is it better to get two 256MB cards than one 512 card? And they're up to 768MB now? Man!!
Every other componet still seems "normal." It's just the video cards and CPU unit that confuse the heck out of me.
Thanks.

6 AnswersAdd-ons1 decade agoIs it worth it to repair my car before I trade it in?
I have a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. With my options, low mileage, etc. Edmunds.com puts me around 15000 for a trade in at "good" condition, which is the average car.
Now, I have several small dings and one relatively large dent caused by a concrete bank pole that got me on the right rear door (crew cab) as I turned too early. I am guesstimating that the repairs for this would be about at least $3000 USD.
I owe about $10000 USD on the vehicle, and am looking to trade it in relatively soon (3-6 months) for another vehicle.
Is it financially worth it repair the vehicle (using my full coverage auto insurance) and restore the condition to "new" or should I just trade it in as is?
Additionally, all damage is superficial. There is no frame damage, engine damage, electrical damage, water damage, interior damage, etc. Besides the minor damage the car is pretty mint.
Thanks.

I'd like to delete all of my text messages, as I have something like 700 stored in there. Is there a way to delete them all at once as opposed to one by one. Or can I at least change the storage settings to where it deletes them sooner?

What is the difference between street craps, i.e. craps played on the street, in a bar, versus casino craps, i.e. played on an actual craps table with croupier and such. It seems like playing on the street would tone down the game quite a bit. Thanks.
