  • Question on Healthy Start/Wic Application?

I currently live with room mates. On the application it mentions to list all members of the household. Do I list my room mates? Technically they will not be helping me financially and we have no other legal connection except the rent. Or when they mean household, do they mean spouse and dependents.

  • Should there be an age cap for president?

According to the constitution a candidate must be at least 35 years old in order to run for president. Do you feel there should be an age cap on the other end, for example should people in their 70's and 80's be able to run for president.

So I'm just curious what other people think because I've been in circles where this question has been brought up. I just want to know if you think there should be a cap and if so what do you think the cap should be.

  • Federal Financial Aid-First Come First Serve?

If federal financial aid first come first serve?

I am just curious I am going back to school as a post undergraduate. I applied at my former college and was dissatisfied with the changes to the school. Before I actually started this school year I was awarded 11,000 for the full year. I applied at another school and was accepted one month before the spring semester is suppose to start. I was only awarded 2,500 for the one semester. I am thinking this is because it is so late in the year. Is that the case

  • Tenenant or Landlord Responsibility?

My duplex has a spider problem. I'm usually finding 2-3 spiders a day in the house. Some days it is upwards to 5 or 6. If you walk around the house you can see spider egg's nest all over. I know the place wasn't lived in (except for the upstairs) for at least a year.

So who's responsibility is it to take care of the problem? My boyfriend thinks that we should take care of it ourselves. I feel it is the landlord's reponsiblity.

  • Can a bank legally do this?

Last Friday when I got paid I put in my account a payroll check from a big company. It was due to clear at midnight that same night (which is weird in the first place because most banks made that available right away). Right around midnight I made a debit card purchase. I check my online statement on Tuesday. They charged me an overdraft fee for this transaction. When I called to inquire about it I was informed because at the time of the authorization of the transaction I only had 30 cents in my account they charged me the fee. Keep in mind when the money was actually pulled from my account I had more than enough to cover the small debit card purchase.

No other bank I had dealt with in terms of a debit card does not work like this. Is it legal for them to charge me an overdraft fee at the time of authorization even though at the time when the money was pulled it was there?

I live in Ohio if that makes a difference.

  • Fair Housing or BBB?

Recently I moved from my apartment into another one. To be quite honest I was evicted due to unemployment and being unable to pay. I received the final notice and they seem to be over charging on the rent owed, claimed the apartment was a mess (even though I cleaned it top to bottom), and other things. I would like to file a complaint. We have already attempted to contact and reason with the manager but got nothing. Should I file a complaint with fair housing or BBB?

  • Rental Application?

I live in Ohio. I recently filled out an application for an duplex. Part of the application asked for my checking account number and location. I put just the last four digits because in my opinion that is my personal information. Can a landlord legally ask for checking and/or savings account information?

  • 97 Dodge Neon?

I was driving to work when my break lights came on. A quick look at my manual and under the hood my break fluids were low. A guy at the part store said there should be a reason why my fluid was low and that break fluid shouldn't be something that goes low like other fluids. But after I put the fluid in and the light went off. The breaks feel fine, actually better since I put the fluid in. I haven't seen any puddles of fluid under my car. I checked the manual and checking the break fluid is part of the schedule maintenance. So which is it? Does break fluid need refilled every once in awhile or does the fact that my fluid is low means something else is wrong?

  • Looking for new bank?

I had both Fifth Third and First Merit checking accounts. I was very unhappy with both. I currently do not have a checking account due to unemployment and closing out my last First Merit account.

I hear good things about US Bank. What are some of advantages? I heard that they don't check with telecheck before giving you a checking account. Which is not a big issue but I was just curious about what makes US bank a good bank.

Any other suggestions would be great. I live in Northeast Ohio.

  • Hair for job interview?

I have a job interview this Monday with child care center. Normally I wear my hair down during an interview but this time I was thinking of putting it in a simple but cute up do. I do recall fidgeting with my hair during interviews in the past so I want to put it up so that it is out of my way. Is it better to wear my long hair down or up? I want to make a good impression.

Ok whenever I put real garlic into anything, no matter the amount, it really upsets my stomach. I fine with garlic salt and powder. Is there anything I can use to substitute the garlic and still get basically the same taste.
