I've been having all kinds of problems with my hardrive right after installing it in the new PC case. Old case everything was working fine after upgrading to my new hardrive. I had the old PATA wire connected to the motherboard but not to any hardrive after I upgraded to a new hardrive. After installing the newer hardrive into the new case and disconnecting the PATA wire from the motherboard I got an error after running BIOS no IDE master HDD detected press F1 to continue. I went into device manager its not comming up in the list of IDE's. I thought maybe change the SATA wire and put it into a new SATA slot (since the motherboard has problems with USB connectors maybe a few faulty SATA's). Now I get the message primary Master drive ATAPI incompatible press F1 to continue. Everything loads fine but still I wanted to fix the problem so downloaded a fitness test from Western Digital and its not comming up as a physical drive. I downloaded a new SATA driver from ASUS but still same problem.

I just upgraded to a coolmaster case and I'm trying to get the audio jacks on the front panel hooked up. I can't find anything that tells me where the AC'97 and HD connector (Intel High Definition Audio) plug into. I have a Creative Fatal1ty XtremeGamer pro series soundcard and an ASUS Rampage Formula motherboard. I can't find any hookup explanations on any of the 3 products coolmaster case, motherboard, or soundcard manuals.

I just upgraded my pc case to a coolmaster. After startup the computer boots and brings me to an error screen "no IDE master HDD detected. I'm not using HDD the wire was just hanging in the old case connected to the motherboard but not to a hardrive. After I upgraded to the new case I disconnected the HDD wire, I'm using a SATA to a my hardrive. How do I get the BIOS to quit reading the old master HDD? I tried going into the BIOS and assign the SATA hardrive as master but couldn't find an option. In the device manager the hardrive is detected, drivers up to date, and working fine. I just don't wanna press F1 everytime I turn on my computer to boot it.

I have an outstanding idea for an MMO video game. I figured someone would come up with an idea close to it eventually but still no. How do I present my idea to a company?

My ex wife in the divorce was supposed to be responsible for taking care of her car payments and all other things that come with the vehicle on a vehicle that's financed under my name. She signed and notarized all documents from my lawyer that was needed and was signed by the divorce court judge as well. She quit paying the insurance and car payments the next month after separating though. The DMV suspended my driver's license since the vehicle was financed under my name and there was no insurance on the car. Then the car was repossessed leaving me with a repossession and $11,500 hit on my credit report. I cannot afford a lawyer my divorce lawyer tapped me out just doing the initial paperwork since my ex wife kept needing changes to the settlement. Where do I go from here? I can't just dispute the issue on my credit statement because the loan was originally in my name. I fixed everything with the DMV after giving them copies of PSA she signed with the vehicle. I've always been an Nvidia fan but ATI came out with a card the Radeon HD 5870 that supports Windows 7 and directX11 and I'm interested in buying it. The ATI has 1600 Stream Processing Units and an equivilent Nvidia card EVGA 295GTX has 480 (240 x 2) processing units but is said to be faster. How is the Nvidia EVGA 295GTX faster the core clock is a lot slower 850mhz vs. 576mhz but the Nvidia memory clock is a lot faster 2016mhz vs ati's 1200mhz. All these spec's are a little confusing going between the two companies. What spec's are the most important when looking at video card speed and quality? I play a lot of PvP shooters online so speed is very important.

I'm having a ton of problems with finding a wireless network adapter that works with windows 7. The compatability list microsoft has is complete BS. I've tried 2 adapters a netgear rangemax pci card and a linksys Rangemax WUSB600N USB adapter and both are on that list and they both didn't work at all. Has anyone confirmed a wireless network adapter that works with windows 7? I've called tech support with both netgear and linksys and they both said they don't have any drivers that will work with windows 7 for any wireless adapter product they have.

I picked up a virus and have to scrap my hardrive its so bad. Gotta love the game hackers in korean beta F2P's whoop on em too hard an they send you a virus. So I was thinking of geting vista so i can run directx 10 finally. Whats better for gaming in a high end PC vista 32 bit, 64 bit, or should I just stay with windows XP still?

My PC screen freezes but sounds continue to play in the background. I've read it could be the memory I've done tests through memtest and it all checks out. I did a virus scan in safe mode nothing found, updated drivers. CCcleaner and Spybot no change. I've even bought the Registryeasy and it even had no effect and think its pretty useless. Sometimes it takes 15 min sometimes 3min and freezes its driving me nuts. Is there a way to test the video card and hardrive? Any other suggestions? Please help

I have a HD 2003 1200 sportster custom and work nights a lot and half my ride is in the country on back roads with curves and the shoulder consists of trees and ditches. I've had some close calls with deer and I'd like to get a brighter headlight setup but the triple tree light setup says it won't fit if I have an engine guard. Are there any options to getting a brighter single headlamp? The harley website only offers a deep bullet lamp and the triple tree chrome auxiliary lighting kit which won't fit since I have the engine guard.

My bank with my auto loan is really pissing me off. I was late on a payment like 20 days and they contacted my neighbor. No idea how they got her information, but then she came over and asked if I knew who "so an so" company was because they called her and asked if I parked my car near by and they told her that I was late on my account. Is that even legal? It was 20 days late for god sake. These people are really rude on the phone and have all kinds of threats like a loan shark almost. Is there someone I can report them to besides the better business bureau?

I'm trying to clear up my credit disputing a lot of fraudulent claims ect ect. If and when the accounts I'm working on clear will my credit score go up or will it just reflect less collection accounts? I also found out an auto loan my ex-wife was supposed to take financial responsibility for in the divorce proceedings has came up with many late payments and a repo. Online disputing it gives an option of saying the account is an ex-spouses but after calling the auto loan lender they say its still my responsibility. How do I clear up this mess? Online disputing they said the account was verified. This is such a headache.

I just finished my 6.8 build and cannot find a bore/chamber brush for the .277 caliber. Is the .308 too big or is the .223 to small to effectively work? Has anyone found one specifically for the 6.8?

I'm finishing up my AR-15 build and looking for a good light to add to a picatinny rail or to the FAB Tactical Vertical foregrip T-grip I like a lot too which fits any 1" flashlight with a push button on/off switch. The problem is I find some sweet bright lights but the run time is like 1 hour. I have a nice bright LED light I keep in my car that's been running on the same batteries for MANY hours. So whats a good light with a decent run time? No Surefires .. so far I find they're overpriced and the bulbs seem to flood out at even short distances.

I was surfing ebay for a new PC monitor and I came accross a listing for a 3D computer monitor. Has anyone ever used one or have one? Does it really work? I've fallen for ebay scams before like the signal "boosting" piece for cellphones lol that was like a $40 sticker u put on your battery. Of course I'm not going to ask the lister for any info because they're just going to tell me what I want to hear but this thing sounds like an awesome step in technology but why isn't bestbuy selling them? Newegg has listings and reviews are back an forth saying things of ghosting an someone said that its due to the users eyesight. Thoughts?

I smoked and overheated my motherboard I had an AMD 64 and I'd like to get a new board thats a little better with the heat issue. My roommate recommended the Intel Core 2 duo. Yes i know I need a new CPU too but I'm going to just get a new CPU as well since the motherboard is smoked who knows if the CPU is on its last leg too from heat. I'm into gaming but I want to stay under $300 for a good motherboard and CPU. I don't want to pay for cutting edge stuff with a huge pricetag that'll be outdated next month. I need it to be fast and stay cool because I'm putting in an Evga 8800GTS OC'd video card and they run hot. Also I'd like to have 2 PCI express slots to run in SLi eventually and 3 PCI slots 2 are already taken with my soundcard and wireless internet. Whats the faster CPU? Also since my motherboard isn't going to be able to use my DDR whats the faster memory now? Thanks

I've been having all kinds of problems since the start of this its driving me nuts. First my hardrive went out, then it turned itself off while playing Age of Conan i guess it overheated, I quit playing the game til my new vid card comes in. I put in a new hardrive and soundcard. Last night was updating all the drivers for the motherboard ect. While I was at work last night my gf said it just turned itself off (yes i forgot to turn it off in a rush to get to work). I tried turning it on and got a flash of light from the LED's and light on the soundcard but then immediatly turned itself back off. I was in the process of eventually upgrading the powersupply and I hooked the new powersupply up and same thing lights flashed and immediatly turned itself back off. While testing the monitor was not plugged into the pc but I'll be trying that soon enough but any other ideas? I'm really hoping i didn't smoke the motherboard overnight.
