  • Male tennis player with a temper?

I believe he played in this past Wimbledon and is known for having a temper. I want to say he sometimes throws his tennis rackets and for some reason I believe while playing in Wimbledon this year there was an issue with him changing shirts or something.

All I can remember is this:

    He’s white

    I believe a bit tall

    I believe he's a non-american.

  • ABN Amro World 2011 runner up trophy was way too small.?

For those who watched the final match between Soderling (congrats) vs Tsonga, did you find the runner up trophy way too small? I found it ridiculously small and insulting in a way. Plus I compared it to the runner up trophy that Clijsters won in the Open Gaz de France at Paris and it was a huge difference. Her runner up trophy was about the same as Soderling's trophy, lol. Step it up ABN. BTW, I was happy that Soderling won but at the same time, I wanted Tsonga to win.

  • Is Caroline Wozniacki's tennis dress too short?

Was the media distracted from Caroline Wozniacki’s dress? Her dress is so short that her shorts are always showing. I do not like see her flat butt/crack. I know the media was distracted from Venus Williams outfit because it periodically went up her legs. But I am wondering why I didn’t hear anything about Caroline’s tennis outfit. I know Caroline is trying to wear more interesting outfits because she said she wanted more cool outfits like Serena, Venus, and Maria Sharapova.

  • Why did Federer shake his head? (Federer v Davydenko)?

Did anyone notice Federer shaking his head when Davydenko challenged a call in the first set? Although I thought it was hilarious, why did Federer do this, it was so early in the match.

  • Was the women's doubles final on TV? Congrats to the William sisters.?

I call myself taping it but its missing. Any, congrats to the sisters. Judging by the score, the sister's were not affected by what happened to Serena.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Venus and Serena Williams won the U.S. Open women's doubles crown Monday with a dominating 6-2 6-2 victory over top seeds Cara Black and Liezel Huber.

They will share a winner's prize of $420,000.

  • What did the USTA do to Capriati, Connors, McEnroe?

Capriati gave the French crowd the "F" finger, I'm sure you'll know what that men, what did the USTA do to her? BTW, I thought that was funny.

Connors and McEnroe, said many offensive things to lines people and umpires, did the USTA do anything beside allowing them to be commentators?"

  • What’s the name of the female tennis player?

I forgot the name of the tennis player whose father bosses her around. She’s tall, I believe she has blonde or light brown hair and may possibly a Russian. She did okay last year or earlier this year in one of the slams but I haven’t heard anything about her lately. Did she play in the US Open? I believe her father accused the media and tennis officials of being unfair or something like that to his daughter.

  • What were the reason (s) Kim retired?

I heard that she was not having fun and I believe she also retired because of some injuries but I’m not buying that wholeheartedly. I believe Kim was miserable because Hewitt dumped her, and then married another woman, whose way better looking than Kim. Kim was not going to be happy unless she got married and had a child, so now that she’s done that, she’s on cloud NINE.

    Anyone agree with me?

  • Nadal, whats up with the water bottles?

I'm sure this has been discussed before but I never paid much attention until recently. I watched Nadal play one of his matches in Madrid (hence; I don't watch him play much anymore) and noticed him lining up his water bottles. I mean he was really focused. lol. Has he ever publicly addressed this? Its even funnier for me because I suffer from a mild case of OCD, hasn’t been diagnosed but I do weird things like that.

  • When will the William sister's meet in the Sony E Open?

If the William sister’s continue to win, when will they meet (i.e. quarters, semi-finals)? For some reason, I get a kick out of watching them play against each other.

  • Was anyone surprised by Serena’s excellent performance during the finals?

Or should the question be, “was anyone surprised by Safina’s terrible performance?”

    Lol

I like both ladies and I really enjoyed seeing them able to chat after the match. I did expect a more competitive match.

  • Will Serena's new record (prize money) inspire her more?

    http://msn.foxsports.com/tennis/story/9152078/Sere...

Congrats to Serena. I hope she continues success and do as Mary Carillo said the other day, which is continue to play and win more titles.

Serena sets record for female athlete prize money

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) - All those winner's checks for Serena Williams add up: By reaching two finals at the Australian Open, she broke golf star Annika Sorenstam's record for career prize money by a female athlete with nearly $23 million.

Williams was busy Thursday, first beating Elena Dementieva of Russia 6-3, 6-4 in the singles semifinals, then pairing with older sister Venus for a victory in the doubles semifinals.

Even if the American were to lose both title matches, she would leave Australia with career earnings of about $22.7 million, according to the WTA Tour, eclipsing Lindsay Davenport's women's tennis prize record by more than $500,000, and Sorenstam's total by more than $150,000.

If Williams wins two Australian Open championships this week, she'll push her haul above $23.5 million.

When told of the news, the 27-year-old Williams recalled her first check of $240 in prize money from an event in Canada in 1995.

"It's amazing how much women's tennis has grown since I joined the tour 14 years ago," she said. "I am very proud to have reached this milestone for me, my family and all women athletes out there."

Williams will play Dinara Safina of Russia in the Australian Open singles final Saturday, bidding for a 10th Grand Slam singles championship, most among active players. She and her sister will be seeking their eighth Grand Slam women's doubles title when they face Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia and Ai Sugiyama of Japan in that final.

Overall, the younger Williams has won 32 singles titles and 14 doubles titles.

  • Anyone else tired of the J. Dokic documentary?

Enough already, we get it! I feel sorry for her but let's get to tennis. Where was all this for the William sister's when they lost their sister? The only thing I remember was criticism about this and that. Didn't one or both of the sisters take time out because of their oldest sister's death and injuries? Didn't they eventually come back and win a gran slam each? Even if they didn't, I do not believe its fair for Dokic to be constantly praised. The sister’s tragic was hardly mentioned, what a shame.

Same with Capriati, remember when she had a drug problem? When she came back, the only thing the media could think to do was trash her instead of giving her praise as they've done for Dokic.

Dokic isn't the only player to go through changes..Geesh. They act like the girl died and came back to life.

  • Sony Ericsson in Doha, what happened to Florida?

I thought the Sony Ericsson was held in Key Biscayne, Florida. Is this a different one? Commentators said something the other night about Venus never winning this, how so? She beat Capriati in Florida years ago. I was there at that match. I'll appreciate some clarity. Thanks in advance.

Venus did a good job, I'm proud of Vera as well.

  • Anyone happy an American (Serena) won in the final?

Let’s face it guys, the American players are lacking these days. I am so glad Serena won for us and at our slam. Anyone else happy Serena, an American won? I was hoping Andy would pull through but it looks like he will never get pass Nadal, Federer or some of the other players; the same with Blake.

Congrats to Serena, way to go. I was as happy to see her gain the #1 rank back as well. It's been five years. Whoo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Petrova wearing Venus tennis collection?

    Hi tennis fans

I saw Petrova wearing Venus’s tennis gear and heard that she didn’t have a sponsor. I’m a bit confused because couldn’t she just wear any tennis outfit even if it’s by Nike, Addidas, etc? They said Petrova checked with Venus to see if it was okay to wear one of her designs and Venus said “absolutely”. They also said that Petrova said she really likes Venus line. I think it’s great that Petrova likes the line and Venus didn’t mind her wearing her line but couldn’t Petrova wear whatever brand she wants?

I’ve always liked Petrova and I hope she gets a sponsor again. What other players are without sponsors? What are they wearing?

  • So who will win now that Serena is out?

I actually thought Serena was going to win even if Henin hadn’t retired. Sharapova is still rusty while other players are playing like crazy. I don’t blame them either. Henin opened the doors and they should play like it’s their last game. Lol. Who do you think will win?
