What to do when you delete your recycle bin icon?
Ok, so I somehow deleted my Recycle Bin icon on accident. When I delete something, it still asks me "Are you sure you want to send this to the recycle bin?" but I can't empty the recycle bin so things really aren't being deleted. I have Windows Vista. I've tried searching for a recycle bin program or something in the start menu but can't find anything. Please help.
2 AnswersDesktops1 decade agoWhat's the average price of a horse trainer?
I'm sure some of it depends on what the trainer will be working on and such, but the owner of the barn where I work and stable my horse has a trainer coming out next week that will be working with 3 of the horses. This trainer said she charges $20 "per session" - being up front that some sessions may only be 20-30 minutes long while others may be 2-3 hours long depending on what she needs to work on. I don't want to "bite the hand that feeds" so to say, but that sounds extremely cheap. This trainer is new to the area, just moved here to IL for AZ. So I'm just wondering how much other people pay for trainers. I have two theories - 1) the cost of living is cheaper in AZ compared to IL and she is still using old rates or 2) She's not experienced (but I doubt the barn owner would hire someone inexperienced - she loves her horses like children, just doesn't have enough time to work with all of them on her own). It just seems odd to only pay $20 for a training session, when it costs me $40 for a farrier visit.
5 AnswersHorses1 decade agoUpdate on my horse rearing up?
So I asked a question a few weeks ago on why my horse may have reared when I was riding her. Well, here's an update: On Saturday the previous owner came out to the barn (they own other horses there too) and she asked if she could ride my horse. I told her it was fine and that she had reared but seemed ok since then when riding. I had to leave so I couldn't watch her ride, but the barn owner told me the next day that my horse had bucked once and reared twice on the previous owner. She was able to keep it under control though as she is a very experienced rider. So now I'm wondering if there is something else wrong. The farrier was out and happened to mention that my horses hooves were small for a horse her size. So now she's on a diet because he said she might be uncomfortable since she doesn't have the big hooves to distribute her weight. Now I'm wondering if that could be the cause of this or at least part of it. If she's uncomfortable as it is, I'm sure adding more weight from a rider does not make it feel better. Hope this makes sense. What do you think?
4 AnswersHorses1 decade agoI need a pep talk and possible reasoning please?
So this week I fell off my horse for the first time. A few days ago I went riding with a friend that also has a horse stabled at the same barn. She is very experienced and has been riding for over 20 years. I am a beginner, I've only been consistently riding for the past year. I bought a 7 yr old Paint mare. Anyway - when we went riding as soon as I got on my horse something felt off. I was feeling nervous and uneasy for some reason because she just wasn't acting right, was throwing her head around and pretty much not doing anything I wanted her to do. I got off and checked the saddle (western) to see if something wasn't right but couldn't find anything. I got back on and she still seemed really irritated. Then all of a sudden she reared twice. I held on the first time she went up but I jumped/fell when she started going a second time. I know she was not ridden on a regular basis when I bought her but I've been riding her 1-2 times a week for the last 2-3 months and have not really had any problems. I know only of 1 other time someone fell off her and that was b/c she bucked. This was my first fall. I kind of hurt my hand on the fall so I had the other rider get on her for a minute and she rode her and said she wasn't acting weird for her. Needless to say, I'm a little apprehensive about getting back on her. But that's the weird part. It's only her. I don't feel nervous about riding any of the other horses at the barn. What are some possible reasons she might have reared? And I know I have to get back on her to get over the fear of falling again, but how do I get passed the hardest part of just getting back on? I was thinking of saddling her up and having someone walk us around the pasture with a lead rope for a little while next time.
12 AnswersHorses1 decade agoMy car is shaking when I brake?
I have a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire. It has about 44,000 miles on it. Recently, when I start to brake, my car starts to shake - I can feel it in the pedal, my dash board and stearing wheel are starting to shake a lot now too. I'd like to have some type of idea what the problem is before I take it in because I know nothing about cars.
7 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoEquine School or classes?
Ok, so I've been working part time at a stable for 6 months now. I've been trying to find some courses or an equine school so I can take classes. I would really like to make a career out of working with horses but I can't seem to find anything near me. I live in northern Illinois and I can only find schools in southern Illinois or out of state. I want to stay in this area as I own a horse and I don't want to have to go through the process of relocating. I've tried looking online but I'm not having much luck. Where can I look or find out about this?
5 AnswersHorses1 decade agoWhat to do about a horse stalker?
Ok. I have a 6 year old Paint Mare. I just bought her like 3 months ago. She's stabled at the farm I work at part time. Anyway, the stable owner's neice is in love with my horse. Apparently she really wanted to buy my horse when she was for sale and couldn't afford it. Now, this girl (she's like 17) has pictures of my horse all over her myspace telling everyone that this is her horse and look how pretty her horse is etc. It's really irritating me. People are commenting on how pretty her horse is etc. I'm not sure what to say as this girl is the neice of the stable owner. I don't think the owner would have a problem talking to her, but do you think I'm being a little too paranoid? I just feel like it's wrong for someone to go around telling people that my horse is hers.
21 AnswersHorses1 decade agoMy mom bought a kitten, found out it has heart problems less than a week later (please read)?
My mom bought a kitten from Petsmart last weekend. He is 2 1/2 months old. She took him to the animal hospital to get his front paws declawed. The vet called her back and said she could not perform the surgery because the kitten had an abnormally high heart rate (around 250 beats per minute) and that he had a very loud murmur. The vet said putting him under could cause him to die and that she should take him to a cardiologist. She said without medicine, the kitten most likely will not live past a year old but that there's a chance the medicine wont work. Petsmart told my mom she can return the kitten and they'll take care of him and put him out for adoption again with a known heart condition. I told my mom that Petsmart should be paying for a cardiologist his medicine as she's had him less than a week, he's already been neutered so there's no way they couldn't have known about the condition as they would have examined him. What should she do? My mom doesn't want to give him up
8 AnswersCats1 decade agoOne of my blinkers is flashing extremely fast...what does that mean?
A couple days ago my left blinker started blinking extremely fast when I use it. It's probably going 5 times faster than normal. My right blinker still goes at the correct speed. What does this mean?
12 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHave you ever bought something, then found out it was stolen?
I bought a dvd set (Home Improvement: Season 2) for a friend for Christmas. I bought it from Best Buy. When my friend opened the gift she took off the protective plastic, opened the case, and it was empty. Instead of DVD's there was another plastic wrap with a price sticker on it. Here's the problem, I don't know if I have the receipt. And of course I paid cash for it. Is there anything I can do without a receipt or am I just out the money?
1 AnswerMovies1 decade agoHow to approach your employers about going green?
A co-worker and I have been making small changes to go green ourselves (got the new light bulbs, started recycling etc) but now we want to do more.
I work in a call center for a pretty large .com company and I'm positive we use a ton of energy. There's about 120 people in my office. Barely anyone shuts off their computers at night or on the weekends. There's no recycling plan in place. And that's just the start.
How and who do you think I should approach with my ideas for going green? How do I get them to take me seriously about this and not laugh or think this is just a joke? How can I get them to realize that at the very least this could save the company a lot of money? Thanks!
1 AnswerCorporations1 decade agoIs anyone going to see 'PS I Love You'?
The previews look good and it looks pretty funny. Gerard Butler is my favorite actor, and Lisa Kudrow look hilarious. Plus you cant go wrong with Kathy Bates.

8 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoAddicted to Marijuanna?
I'm almost 24. For about 3 years I have been what would be considered a heavy pot smoker. I never even tried the stuff until I was 20. Then it was just on the weekends. For a good while now (like 2 years) I have been smoking every night when I get home from work. And I mean like 2-4 pipes a night on average. I was really bad for awhile, smoking as soon as I woke up, while on lunch breaks at work, and then more when I'd get home. But I have stopped smoking in the mornings and during work - just when I get home. I feel like I'm addicted to it - when I get close to running out I start to panic a little. I'm on edge and not so pleasant when I don't smoke, not to mention I feel bored as hell.
What I'm trying to get at is this - if I were drinking beer, I'd definitely be considered an alcoholic (I drink like 3 times a year, I don't like how alcohol tastes). All I hear all the time is how pot isn't addictive - but I feel like I can't stop. What can I do?
