I'm just starting to learn how to program (like, I started earlier today) and I've been fooling around with some tutorials on python and mac terminal. in one of the exercises, i'm supposed to make a text file then save it as ex1.py, then type "python ex1.py" into the terminal and get an output of the text. I did this and got an error message in one of my lines so i went back and fixed it, making sure everything is perfect. When i tried again to run the program with no mistakes in text all i get back is my pwd, No error messages, and no program. i am very confused, someone help?

i really love this song, and i'd love to explore some bands that sounds like this; featuring bass as the lead instrument with no guitar. I don't really know how to search for that though. any suggestions?

I fell face first onto my carpet saturday night and woke up sunday morning with a terrible rug burn surrounding my eye. the effected area is about the size of a fist, and covers the upper part of my cheek, eyebrow, and a little on my eyelid. it's pretty sore, but I can't tell if that's from the burn or from the inevitable bruising that I have from slamming my face into the floor. Today (monday) the are is yellowish-green-brown, and the surrounding area is mostly red. It burns a little, but not a lot; generally it doesn't hurt of i'm not touching it or moving my face in such a way that the scab stretches. I've read that rug burns can easily become infected, and in my ignorance, I iced the burn for a few hours on sunday morning (which i now know increases tissue damage). I'm an impoverished college student with no health insurance and not a lot of disposable income for expensive antibiotic creams. I need some advice on how to cost-effectively keep this wound clean and healthy. Thank you.

I just bought a coachella ticket from a guy off craigslist. it's a hard ticket, has the glossy feel, all the right info, adds and legal stuff on the back, and glows blue under light, but the trim on the ticket is blue, where as on other tickets ive seen its orange. he said he bought it back in january, and the date on the ticket says january 28, 2010. anyone else buy a ticket in january, and does it have blue trim?

I have a volvo station wagon, and I need to cover up all the windows temporarily and quickly. the pasenger windows are easy, but the rear windows are less obvious. i was thinking newspaper might do the trick, thoughts?

My GPA is 4.159 weighted, and i'm 26th in my class of 205 (it's a really competitive high school, but i'm disapointed with my rank..i hope it doesn't effect my application too much)

the better of my SAT scores is 2180

I have pretty decent extra carriculars: my dad runs a non-profit art gallery and i've been volunteering with him for a long time. i'm also varsity volleyball captain, and i'm associated with various clubs.

i donated blood a few months ago, and i recently got a letter from the American Red Cross saying that they tested my blood, and that i had returned a positive for "hepatitis B antigens" but a negative for "hepatitis". no one in my family has had hepatitis, and no one i have had sex with has had hepatitis. did i just get a false positive, or could i actually have hepatitis antigens? and if so, how?

i've got a 1980's peugot carbolite road bike that i love. recently, i got a flat tire. i changed the tube and filled it and rode around for a little. after a while, the tire was totally flat again. i took off the tube, filled it, and put it under water and looked for holes or a problem with a valve, but turns out neither tube had anything wrong with it... could the problem be with my rim? i'm pretty sure they're the original rims to the bike. thanks

i have been dating my girlfriend for a year and a half now. i really care about her, but i'm feeling like i need a break from her. all my friends have been telling me that i look tired and stressed when i'm around her, and that's true. she is very clingy, emotional, and dramatic. the crazy thing, is that she has been feeling like she might like this other guy. i kind of jumped on that and suggested that we take a break so that she could figure it out. so we're kind of in a break now, but she's still clinging to me. i feel like i need to fly away from her, but have no way to communicate my feelings to her without hurting her. i really do care about her, and when she cries i can't stand it. please, i need some advice on how to handle this.
