what are some good flight sims (or just flying games) for osx in 2020? I've used x-plane but i want to try others. modern jets, too. thanks in advance!

i want to upgrade my drives to a pcie blade ssd. since these are getting cheaper and larger is there still any benefit in splitting the boot and bulk file sections? i can get a 1 or 2tb drive now and that would hold everything like my original spinning drive did. in another way, if you split the startup and bulk file section into two ssds is that faster or slower than all on one drive, all things being "equal"? thanks in advance!

on a usb ac charger adapter (the ones that are used for phones, cameras, etc.) what is the most important spec for power output? i've seen straight watt labels, like 10w, then others like 9v at 1.2 amps. the equation for watts is w/va, so is 9v, 1.2a charger 10.8w? thanks in advance!

I have a pair of Oliver Peoples acetate frames, no lenses in them yet. They got knocked into a sink full of soapy water (clean) by a friend watching my house. I believe they were immersed for three weeks. The frames *look* ok but did the soapy water dry out the acetate? Meaning will it be more prone to cracking now? Did the soapy bath shorten the lifespan of the frame? Thank you!

I just installed 10.14 Mojave on a new disk partition. safari all of a sudden is preloaded with a bunch of my bookmarks. where did it get them? I recognize some but they look like a very old set.

i have astigmatism of -1.5 in the left eye, -1.75 right eye, as for contacts. for my glasses prescription the optometrist increased the astigmatism correction for the right eye but not the left. she said the value would be to -1.75 but felt the -.25 would be too much. i tried it out with diopters and it was just a teensy bit sharper. what should i do?

this is a bizarre question: i have a pair of armani acetate frames. my prescription was done so it favors close up work but it is just a bit weak for distance (the difference between the two is only about a half point to 3/4 point but it is detectable by me). my frames have as an option a pair of sunglass clips. could these clips be made with the increased power difference to use for distance? or does the separate lenses throw off the prescription?

i'm thinking you'd ideally need to have both lenses fit tightly against each other--

any opinion would be helpful. thanks!

btw my prescription is roughly -6 to -7 with a bit of astigmatism in each eye

i'm a guy and i have huge knots in my hair from not combing it lately. i'm going to use conditioner on it. questions:

1. how long do i let the conditioner sit?

2. do i need to wash my hair then use conditioner or can i just go to conditioner directly? my hair could use a wash. do the natural oils help or hurt detangling?

3. my hair is generally straight. do i use a brush, narrow comb or wide comb?

When it was delivered it sat outside in 9 degree cold for over 24 hours then brought indoors and has sat unopened for about 2 days. It is still sealed, still in the packing envelope. My question is: I know you let the unit acclimate after cold weather but could condensation have formed inside the unit? And if it did would it leave trace contaminants on the drive itself? I don't think there are any large vents on the case and I think the box is closed off to a degree, but would this still happen? If it's anywhere possible I think I'd feel better and get an exchange delivered when it's warmer. Thanks in advance!

Did you find this year's seasonal discounts good (like Black Friday and general Christmas deals)? In terms of apparel and some electronics I think they were generally better than 2016 and 2015.

i was looking at some android phones, one has a snapdragon 835 (or 800 series at least), another something like a 625, and another a 425, all in different price categories of course. all things being equal how will those different cpu's make an impact on the phone -- will the 835's speed be apparent in everyday things like launching an app, photo editing or web browsing? or is it mostly noticeable inthings like gaming? would a lower end 425 have a lot of lag? in other words when does a phone make use of a high end cpu's speed? thanks!

I'm looking at a sealed new old stock iphone off craigslist. what should i look out for, should check, and should ask the seller about? if it was stolen from a store would the imei or other numbers indicate it as such? being sealed in box are the chances of the phone being ok/legit much better than a typical used, as-is, phone? should i open the box and test it out right there in front of the seller? thanks!

On the iphone how do you know if you have a missed call, new email, or incoming text? On Blackberry and Nokia there is a flashing light separate from the screen. With iphone do you have to wake the phone to see if anything's new?

Does anyone make a mat that covers the side carpet along the console? Like the part to the right of the gas pedal? is there a floor with a kind of flap or extension to it?

I I bought a pair of headphone from amazon. They shipped in a box with no padding, just a bag of candy next to it. The shipping carton wrapped tightly around the headphone box so there was no jostling but any shock would be transmitted through. I told amazon this. They shipped a second pair but this one came in a thin bubble envelope, also not adequately packed. The items "look" ok but what I'm afraid of is hidden damage, that something will show up a few months from now. Which of these would you keep? Thanks!
