Time Warner Chief Executive Glenn Britt on Wednesday called Viacom's demand for a 12 percent increase in fees - an extra $39 million on top of the estimated $300 million it pays Viacom annually - extortion and outrageous given the recession. Viacom countered that the requested increase amounted to an extra $2.76 annually per subscriber.

"We sympathize with the fact that Viacom's advertising business is suffering and that their networks' ratings have largely been declining," Britt said in a statement. "However, we can't abide their attempt to make up their lost revenue on the backs of Time Warner Cable customers."

WOULD you make that telephone call to time warner if you knew it would make YOUR bill increase? Time warner is doing it for your own good so that they dont hike up your bill! what is your opinion?

i was watching the weather channel about those places getting record snow fall and it said when it melts there will be major flooding and they add that to the water table for the years average.

so i was wondering if 6 inches of snow makes 6 inches of water when it melts ? is there more? is there less?

disconnected or no longer in service? some strange number came up on my caller ID so i didnt answer then i used another phone to call it right back and it comes up as disconnected or no longer in service. how can this be when they just called me?! when i do a reverse phone lookup it comes up as unavailable/unpublished.

while driving it around town on the side streets i dont have any problem with it. we took it from northern Ohio to extreme southern Ohio (on the highway) no problems got off the highway driving on side streets come up to a redlight stop then go to take off and the transmission does a REALLY hard shift like the motors going and it takes a second for the tranny to catch up. once it cools off it doesnt do it on the side roads so we checked the fluid added conditioner anyways and the check engine light came on (bad gas was part of that put cleaner in the gas tank and that went out) but another code came up with something to do with an internal part in the transmission but doesnt say what. does anyone know if its just a module or the torque box or what it may be? i hate taking it to a transmission shop because the trannies have many sensors and it could be one but they will tell you the entire tranny needs rebuilt when it really doesnt.. thanks for your help !

talking to me about Islam and the Qua'ran (spelling?) i am white/american born native. all religous faith confuse me theres so many contradictions and when you ask questions about like time lines for example i ask when do the dinosaurs fit in the time line and the bible because we have fossils and bones that prove dinosaurs were here i get ignored. Islam makes alot of sense to me but is it really any more violent then any other religion? isnt it just that terrorists are like right wing extremeists of the faith and are going overboard? theres bloodshed in every religion. why do people put other religions down that they arent a part of? what if it doesnt matter HOW you worship in the end its the point that you all came to the same conclusion and that you just DID. we all have different names for God . maybe he came here and made the good book to the language/ethnicity you were born with so you would understand it? what do you think?

i have bought several toys for my Beagle. i even got one that said virtually indestructable and laughed about it to the cashier while i was checking out that i GUARANTEED it wouldnt last a week and low and behold it was destroyed within 5 days. squeeky toys dont have a chance with him so im looking for harder rubber toys or something that will at least a couple of weeks with him. luckily he chews that stuff up (and paper) and NOT my stuff. he doesnt have any toys left ;o( thanks for all of your help beforehand...

2 days ago i had a filling put in and the dentist said the nerve was close to it and if i have sensitivity to give them a call and come in and get a root canal. well i dont think he realize that the filling would touch the nerve and i am in pain! i called and scheduled the RC and requested some pain med which is doing NOTHING. they are not open on the weekend so i have to suffer until monday morning and try to get an emergency appt. what can i do in the meantime? ive taken every over the counter med plus this narcotic they called in for me and nothing is doing it. thanks for the help (beforehand)!

year olds are rough on their walls. its in a new addition part of our house but the walls look banged up and the contractor used flat paint instead of gloss im going to have them repainted gloss and the walls all touched up my question is this, do you think it would be best to wait until nearer to time to list the house to fix and paint the walls? i cant wait until we move out because even while we are living here the realtor is going to be showing the house off, would you fix the walls before they started showing the house if it was your house or just tell the people that it WILL be painted once we move out? i dont know what to do, i dont want them messed up after i fix them to where i have to end up refixing them anyways and i dont know when would be a good time to do the work . all opinions please?

headaches. i am under alot of stress. after the bs i have to finish this week off with i am going through the every day living stress of cleaning cooking keeping dishes done with 3 kids ages 6-16. the everyday cleaning is one thing i am also HOUSE cleaning and getting rid of clutter and excess because we are listing our house for sale at the end of may. my husband cant help out much hes been in a cast for 6 weeks he had surgery in february and his ankle tendon was cut apart in an accident and he has two pins in his ankle plus some glue etc. he gets it off tomorrow then goes through therapy. i have to give him a shower. give the kids baths except my teen, i have two dogs to take care of UGH!! not to mention which i almost forgot to do. i am a part time licensed teachers aide and sub so i work with a school of kids on some days!!!! i need some relaxation techniques so i can get rid of this headache without downing a bottle of tylenol!
