  • Always getting in conflicts with my close friend?

I have a general confllict with my close friend. I'm not really sure what it is though. I just get bothered by him when he does certain stuff, but i don't know how to respond to it without offending him.

Example, he hits me jokingly telling me to do something and I don't want to do it... I don't want to make a big deal out of it by saying, "I don't like it when you hit me" or something like that. How can I deal with those sorts of things without being socially awkward???

  • Confidence issues: Can I do well in my job?

I'm trying out to be a soccer referee for peers (18-25) at my school. I'm scared that I won't make a good referee. I'm generally not a confident person, and I'm scared I won't be able to handle gray zones or resolve conflicts.

Do I exactly follow the rulebook or let it slide?

What if they start disagreeing with my, how do i discipline them?

Help me have the confidence to deal with these situations!

  • Break up with CRAZYY gf??

My girlfriend snuck into my room this weekend, cleaned and organized my room, bought me $100 of blankets, pillows, and towels.

But, I don't like her that much. I'm just not that into her and don't want such a serious relationship. How do I say no to the gifts????

  • Break up with GF!???

Over the weekend my girlfriend did a really nice gesture. She cleaned my room, organized my stuff for 4 hours, and bought me new bedding, new towels, and new pillows.

But, the thing is I want to break up with her. I'm not as interested in her as she is in me. The nice stuff is just too much, I just don't feel that way about her. How do I say no to the stuff???

  • KISSSING!!! Need to get outside of my head.?

Whenever I'm kissing, I'm always self-conscious and thinking about how I'm kissing, and thinking about how I'm not a good kisser compared to my gf. I know it's ridiculous, but it's what I think

I need to get outside of my head. Can anyone relate?? What should I do??

  • Girl is maybe better than me!?!?

    Hey,

So I'm meeting this girl tomorrow, we're going to go bowling. She talked trash about how she's going to beat me and I'm kind of upset because I suck at bowling and what if she beats me. I'm a shitty trash talker and I dunno, it's just pretty embarrassing that a girl would be better than me at that. How can I be cool after losing?

  • GIRLS: Is a guy still hot if...?

So, there's a girl that's definitely interested in me. She's really cute and I like her, but I wonder, why is this girl interested in me...

I always act like a fool around her, nervous, say stupid comments to which she gets confused and goes, "huh", "uhh, what"... She's been pursuing me for weeks. This week, we hung out 2 times 1on1 staying up really late talking in the car and I still haven't made a move on her

Why does she still like me and want to hang out with me? And what should I do?

  • Girl likes me. We have a connection. But nervous talking to her 1 on 1. What to do?

So I can tell this girl is into me. And I think she's pretty cool and hot, so I'm into her also. We hang out with other people around, have a good time, and we definitely have a connection. So obviously, the next step is to talk 1 on 1.

But the problem is I get really nervous talking to her 1 on 1. I always feel like I'm running out of things to say, and I can't keep up the conversation at such a "fun" level. So, basically I run away, so the conversation is not too long and it doesn't get too shitty.

What can I do in this situation??... It happens to me every time, with every girl I like.

  • Hate losing. Don't really care about winning. What do I really want? (Competition)?

I hate losing because I want to beat my friend. But when I win I don't feel all that great, just a little satisfied if anything.

This has perplexed me for a while on a philosophical level, but recently it has directly affected me. Ive been playing a fighting video game (Super Smash Bros on N64) with a friend pretty intensely for some months. Naturally, the skill level changes from time to time, he's good and wins all the time, I become good and win, etc etc. I hate losing to him, especially after a few times in a row; but then when I win I just feel moderately good, and after a few wins in a row I very quickly become bored with winning.

“What’s the problem?” you ask. Well, I agonize over losing. And I tend to lose more often because I am unenthusiastic about winning. Therefore the majority of the time I am feeling negative. 1) Why agonize if I don’t care about reward: winning? 2) How can I enjoy winning in general (not just one win here and there)? 3) Arggh, what do I really want!?
