I'm trying to understand how God works in the Bible, people say he works in mysterious ways, I'm wondering if I'm just horrible at logical thought (that is, if God really is logical and I'm just an idiot). Would my incompetence in logic affect how I judge myself and others skill in logic?

Gravity as "science" currently understands it is incompatible with Quantum Mechanics, and is such a theory in CRISIS. We NEED intelligent falling in our classrooms to TEACH THE CONTROVERSY. Our children need to be allowed to make their own decision about "gravity" and intelligent falling.

Theists, if you don't even acknowledge evolution as a valid argument, would it even matter if science could fully explain the creation of the universe? I mean, wouldn't you just dismiss that too?

I mean... if witches aren't real, Exodus 22:18 looks kind of silly in the Bible:

"Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live."

You'd think God would know better than to believe in magic.

If you get to heaven, and then you do something completely bone-headed, like you accidentally blurt out "God da**it!" (or perhaps you do something much worse).

Would God send you to Hell? If so, wouldn't it eventually lead to EVERYONE ending up in Hell? Because the odds of actually being good enough to stay in heaven FOREVER is kinda ... puny.

Or can we scrap it because it's kinda insane?

When I sleep, sometimes I make funny sounds. My boyfriend woke me up a few minutes ago and was coming on to me - in the middle of the night - and I have class in the morning (the nerve!).

A few minutes later he woke me up again by splashing water on me (WTF)! I had to chase him out of my dorm room! Is he possessed by some kind of demon?!

I work in the Bible belt... why don't all these good Christians start killing one another, or even refuse to work on the Sabbath?

If you believe in a soul, and you believe that the only way to save your soul from eternal suffering and damnation is to believe in a God, then doesn't the desire for self-preservation actively filter out and deny ANY information, logic, or reasoning that goes against the belief in this God/religion?

How is any meaningful dialog supposed to take place when facts, logic, and reason are denied before being considered?

... or will you do both?

Now, if you want to travel to a distant location, will you pray, or will you hop in an airplane? Will you do both?

I have a religious friend who believes it is possible that dinosaurs and humans may have existed at the same time. If he is right, then does anywhere in the Bible it state that Jesus was human and not a velociraptor?

I'm thinking about trying out a religion... Can you prove that your religion is right by giving evidence? Can you at least prove that your religion is more right than the Ancient Greeks? Zeus is one cool dude and I have this gut feeling that if any religion is right, the Greeks nailed it.
