It's 1984 all over again!

I know it's possible, and that we've had an unmarried president elected in the past, but it sure would be hard to make those "family styled" commercials without a spouse, wouldn't it?

Seems weird to find so many of our flags made in a Communist country. But they have slave labor and those workers,many who are children, working in sweatshops to make America's Old Glory. And America buys from the cheapest manufacturer.

I go way back and think of "Good Morning!" from "Singing in the Rain" and "Good Morning, Starshine" from "Hair." Also "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the waves is pretty upbeat.

Francis Bellamy was a Christian Socialist who wrote the U.S. Pledge of allegiance. The words, "Under God" were added during the McCarthy witch hunt days.

Bellamy originated incorporated the "Bellamy Salute" to the pledge, which is very similar to the Nazi salute. Check out the photos:

I lean towards Canada and the Nordic countries.

My doctor recently stated that I was disabled, severe depression, outrageous tinnitus, losing focus, can't sleep, etc. So now that I'm 'disabled' for at least 60 days while I seek treatment, I doubt I can carry unemployment insurance as well...as I was only working 12 hours a week.

I'm in that number who can't pay. Last time I went to get my pills refilled I was charged $250 (for about 8 pills). Normally every pill had a $10 to $20 co-pay...so I had to pick and choose what I thought I needed most. And then when I get to the doctor and he finds out I'm not taking all my pills he chides me. I tell him, "I can't pay for them all! I work 12 hours a week due to the economy." He said you have got to find a way to pay for all your pills. OK...maybe I'll my trippy meds on the street in order to pay for the others.

My doctor's a jerk.

I've heard it said that without illegal aliens to do our drudge work, we'd have to pay legal citizens a lot more money to do the same work, we'd have to give them health insurance and dental and medical and our economy would sour without illegal aliens.

Remember it's not the illegal aliens that are the problem, it's the Americans who are using their cheap services that are the problems here.

There's been talk that the best performer rarely wins because Vote For the Worst have thousands of people rapid dialing for the second best person to win.

I've been on stage in many places in the USA that used one or the other spelling. Nobody I've asked seems to know if there's any different meanings between the spellings.

I'm not asking how many people believe in Him, but how many people approve of the way He's managing His universe.

Personally, I believe in God, but I'm quite snoggered at Him of late. I would seriously have to give Him an approval rating of 4 out of 10, with 10 being the best score possible.

Mine was "Seven Falls" in or near Colorado Springs, Colorado. 7 waterfalls in one, lighted at night to great delight. You climb up to the top of the falls and are directed to the spot where "America the Beautiful" was written. It is truly a gorgeous place to behold.

I've developed an addiction to 100% orange juice (no pulp), and being that I'm 51 I'm getting signs that it might not be such a good thing. I take medication for type II diabetes and I know that OJ has a lot of sugar, so does anyone here know what happens when I drink a half gallon a day of the orange nectar of the gods?

The late, great comedian, George Carlin, comes to mind when I think about misanthropy as he seemed to have a certain disgust about the human race. He channeled his rage into comedy, however.
