  • Hit and run, no witnesses?

Someone hit my truck last night or early this morning. The only parking spot beside mine is the neighbour's spare spot that he doesn't use himself. I asked the neighbour about it and he denied anybody coming over. I filed a claim with ICBC and they said without a plate number of the other vehicle I'll have to pay a $750 deductible.

I'm looking for advice on what further action to take. I'm going to keep an eye out for this vehicle and get the plates if possible. Other than that I'm not sure what to do.

Also, all 4 panels on the one side are damaged, so will they write it off? It's a 2000 ford 150 xlt 4x4, 3 door (two regular doors then two half doors)

    Thanks for your time

  • Landlord peeping through windows?

My girlfriend lives in a complex of small unattached houses in Canada. On a few occasions she has seen, the landlord, or complex manager (same thing?) drive by her house, stop the car, get out and peer through the blinds into her living room. The landlord never noticed her there, so she doesn't know she's ever been caught doing this.

My girlfriend feels her privacy is being violated, but doesn't know what she can do about it, if anything.

Is this illegal? Should she confront the landlord? Advice?

  • Anybody know any orphan jokes?

It's really hard to find orphan jokes. Anybody have some?

Why do orphans not play baseball? They have no idea where home is.

Why do orphans go to church? So they can have someone to call father.

  • I want to get a tattoo reading "Invictus"?

Don't know where to get it, or what kind of lettering, or what to eventually go with it (if anything).

I know it's gotta be my personal decision, but I'd like some opinions. It's my first tattoo, by the way. I'm not afraid so don't say I should get something small, or whatever...

Invictus is Latin roughly translated to "unconquerable"

  • What kind of graphics card should I get?

I'm looking for a Radeon card and I want to spend less than $150. I don't know much about the specs; what makes one card better than the other. So, if you know a thing or two I'd appreciate the help.

I've been finding the best deals on www.tigerdirect.ca (I'm in Canada), but if you know a site that's better let me know.

  • Strange noises in sky heard across the world?

How many of you have heard about this? Anybody actually heard it themselves? Any speculation on what it might be? (or how/why it could be/is being faked)

A little info for those who don't know. The earliest video I found of this was December 2010. People are reporting that it started 2 weeks into 2012, but that's false; There are many reports and videos from 2011. People report the noises are either coming from the sky, or from the earth itself. Here's a compilation video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ2ZcmMxehk

The answer I find most interesting and informative will get best answer. I want to hear every opinion, I won't judge or report.

  • I have a friend who resorts to violence?

I know he doesn't know how to react to certain situations, how to control himself, or how to not let his ego get hurt. I just want some idea of what to say to him. He'll even threaten to beat me up if he tries to insult me and I turn it around on him and he won't know what else to say. He could beat me up but I'm not afraid of him, so I don't care. I'll say anything to him, just looking for some ideas.

  • Why do Americans believe the Grand Canyon wasn't initially formed under the ocean? Mass ignorance?

The facts are clear. The colorado did not cut the canyon into the earth. There are caves in the grand canyon with remnants of marine life.

What's the sexiest style of beard? Or is no beard better? Moustache?

I have a goatee with a "chin strip", a narrow line of beard coming from my side burns along my jawline into my goatee, and no moustache.

  • Is buying all lottery number combinations plausible?

I'm sure there's something denying you the ability to do this and turn a profit but I'm having trouble finding every evidence and I don't know the math to find out how much it would cost to buy every possible combination. Although, as lotteries grow in to the 50 mil plus range its hard to think that you'd end up in the red especially in Canada when there are no taxes on winnings.

  • Tenant moved out, left car. It's been over a month and the city says it needs to go. What are my rights?

I've been subletting a room to this guy for a few months. Last month he moved out on the 10th. He has left behind his car saying he has no where to park it at his new place but he'd take it some time soon. It's now been over a month. If the car runs it barely runs, and is now becoming an oasis of mold and fungi. The city has informed me that the car is becoming an eye sore and a possible hazard and I have 4 days to do something with it or I will be fined for each day it stays past the deadline. Tomorrow (Dec 21) is the deadline.

I've called him and left him messages but I've had no response. Apparently he did come by my house 2 days ago when I was not home and my friend who was here asked him about it but he was too intoxicated to comprehend what he was saying (seriously).

So what can I do? Could I call a scrap vehicle removal and get it taken away? I'm assuming he doesn't want it and has abandoned it.

PS. I live in British Columbia, Canada.
