What to do in a "nail salon war"?
Other nail salons are sending their base customers to our nail salon so they can spy on our shop.
Example, a customer walks into our shop and asks for a pedicure. The customer then observes what we do and report back the infos they have to their "masters" in other nail shops.
What is the best way to deal with this?

1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoTalking to women in nail salons?
I work at a nail salon for my parents and I REALLY need to learn to keep my clients coming back. I do a really great job, but that's not enough for the town I'm living in. I have to talk, but when I do talk, I talk about things that interest me. I like to talk about religion, politics, war, history, careers, death, philosophy, etc, but the women at the nail salon don't care about that. They always talk about their hair, nails, and kids.
Can you help give me some topics to bring up? And how I should treat them?
Thanks.
7 AnswersGender Studies9 years agoJewish vs Oriental (Asian)in intelligence and accomplishments?
Looking deep at each of their history, only one can be the superior. But which?
My shallow 2-cents, just to get you started:
Jews have created: Krav Maga, Atomic Bomb, Einstein, Carl Sagan, Hollywood, Freemasonry, Monetary System, Judicial System, Public Schools, Free Healthcare, Facebook, Bagels, Judaism, G-D, various electronics.
Orientals have created: Paper, gunpowder, the most varied cuisines in the world, most varied martial arts in the world, video games, various electronics, copying other people's things.
8 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups9 years agoStory problem: basic fractions?
Imagination Ink supplies different colored inks for highlighter pens. Vat 1 has yellow ink, holds 150 gallons, and is 4/5 full.
Vat 2 has green ink, holds 50 gallons, and is 5/8 full. One gallon of ink will fill 1200 pens. How many pens can be filled with the existing ink from Vats 1 and 2?
The answer is not in the back of the book, that's why I'm asking here. I have different answers so I'm not sure.
I had: 180,000 pens
and then I tried doing it another way and got 120,000 pens.
1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoIs "carnitas" pork fat/lard?
I order taco carnitas and quesadillas carnitas and they're really good but I feel kinda fat after eating it because the meat is so soft, just like fat. Is that what it is? And, what part of the pig is it from?
3 AnswersEthnic Cuisine9 years agoMy mom won't let me buy gun?
I tell her of a "what-if" scenario of an economic collapse and that we should prepare by stocking up on food, and most importantly, buy appropriate weapons. We live in the suburbs, midwest.
She says "no" and that God will protect us, but I know that won't be happening.
I've been a "free-thinker" (or atheist if you want to call it that) for 2 years.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoEx-spouse uses money to gamble at casino?
Don't want to pay child-support because court will not allow me to see kids and the money that I give goes straight to her and she uses it to gamble. She also has a boyfriend. Now what? I don't even make enough for myself.

4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhat is this emerging group in recent years?
You see them more in inner cities like New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, etc.
They usually wear hoodies, skinny jeans. A few wear glasses, too. They love scarves.
They don't look like they are skaters, but they are always on their Ipads/Iphones/Apple stuff. You can spot them in the Apple stores and they're always smiling when they check out the electronics.
And they always talk about tolerance and peace. Most are aged 16 to mid 20's.

4 AnswersHigher Education (University +)9 years agoAtheists - Jews claim Torah influenced whole world? That includes YOU?
Look for article - "What would a world without Torah look like?"
Here's some interesting parts from the article:
(as in polytheistic societies today), where the literacy rate was generally 1/10 of 1%. Even ancient Rome, which needed a literate ruling class to administer its far-flung empire, boasted a literary rate of only 10-15%. Not only did Greece and Rome not deem it beneficial to educate the masses, but they viewed education as a potential danger to the stability of society.
The Torah innovated the idea of education for all.
The right to life, which the American Declaration of Independence considered "self-evident," was not evident to any society in the world before or after Sinai, except where the Torah's influence penetrated.
Into a world where killing for convenience or sport was the universal norm, the Torah introduced the concept of the sacredness of life. "Do not murder,"
When the Torah laid down the principle of equal justice before the law, the rest of the world must have laughed.
The division of time into seven-day units punctuated by the Sabbath, a day of rest, is an invention of the Torah.
Without the Jews, we would see the world through different eyes, hear with different ears, even feel with different feelings. And not only would our sensorium, the screen through which we receive the world, be different: we would think with a different mind, interpret all our experience differently, draw different conclusions from the things that befall us. And we would set a different course for our lives.
The Torah introduced a purposeful God, with a plan for human history. If humankind will obey the commandments -- the Divinely ordained blueprint -- then a utopian world will ensue. The future will be different -- and better -- than the past. Thus the Torah introduced linear time. In so doing, it catapulted humanity into a world of meaningful moral choices, where human beings could create their own destinies, forge their own futures.
END
The purpose of this question is to evaluate the core foundations of Judaism. It seems that Atheists and the free-thinking community is afraid of critiquing this religion. As I am intellectually honest, I refuse to hide from being called anti-Semitic.

4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoMy group did all the work, now what?
Hey, thanks for answering last time, everyone. My group was smart enough to know that I wasn't going to do it, so they went ahead and saved themselves. I guess my work here is done. Should I go to the presentation tonight or go home?
4 AnswersEtiquette9 years agoI didn't do my group work (hurry, help!)?
The school work is extremely hard, and the presentation is tonight.
What should I tell my group?
Should I finish whatever it is and hand it in (it WILL look bad)?
Should I just run off without saying or sending anything?

Why do they do this?
Wouldn't they lose more money by letting you eat in?
1 AnswerFast Food9 years agoWould you trust this person?
There's this guy in my martial arts class in his late 20s. He's a smooth talker; always knowing what to say at the right time. He's really funny, great with the ladies, and everybody seems to like him. He's always giving me these really strong warm hugs at unexpected moments. At other times, he cracks racist jokes about me to others. I usually laugh along cause maybe he's not serious and I was thinking that if I could boost this guy's ego, he'd get laid and leave me alone. I've never asked him about his sex life.
He's average height and obese. It is truly amazing that he is able to grope and kiss girls he meets on the streets - a few times, girls he doesn't even know - and they seem to enjoy it. This guy must have great self-esteem. He's also a Freemason member and JEWISH. I feel uneasy when I'm around him. Whenever I see a girl I like and can tell she's interested in me and he's nearby listening in, I always lose interest immediately.
What do you think of him?
We are getting back on good terms after I insulted one of his friends with my careless words unintentionally. He seems to keep his distance from me now but we still smile and greet each other like normal and I still get those hugs....
I am not White.
5 AnswersPsychology9 years agoIf all women stopped working?
Would there be even more jobs for the rest of us if all women were to go back to the role that they belong: Mothering kids, cooking, cleaning, staying home, etc? Wouldn't this be better for society?
The only women who do get to hold a job would be single mothers. Would this be a good idea?
