  • Pointe shoe sewing?

I was just wondering why some girls sew elastic or stitches across the front of their pointe shoes by the bottom of the vamp. It's usually girls with high arches but I don't understand why

  • Is plywood thick/hard enough for dance room flooring?

I was wondering because I want an inexpensive dance room at home. I was thinking if I use thick enough phywood and put fake marley on top it should be fine. Will it?

  • Patellar tendonitis?

Do I have patellar tendonitis (Jumpers knee)? Last Monday (21st) my knee started hurting at dance class right under my knee. I kept going for the next few days but now my knee hurts from just simply walking. My dad thinks its the growth plate in my knee since I'm still growing but I think I have patellar tendonitis.

  • How Do I Convince My Parents To Let Me Have A Dance Room?

I've been dancing for 9 years now and done competition for 2 years. I really want to practice ballet and pointe more often but all the extra classes I could take are during my other classes and I have no where to practice at home. In my basement there is 1 room we call the "Craft Room" that could be my dance room. There's hardly anything in there and no one uses it. We also have 1 room for storage (it's huge) but we already have a storage area in the attic so nothing's there. Money isn't the problem either because my dad is Mr. Handyman and could do everything for it himself and I could help. I don't see why they keep saying no!

  • Is 13 Too Late To Start Rhythmic Gymnastics?

I am 13 years old and have been doing dance since I was 3. I'm pretty flexible and good at turns, I have also been taking tumbling (floor gymnastics, no beam or anything) for 4 years and I've been working on back flexibility a lot lately. And when I start will I be in a younger group?

  • What kind of phone for a 13 year old?

My daughter is turning 13 soon and she wants a cell phone. I am buying the phone but she pays the bill. She told me (so it's not as big of a bill) she doesn't want 3G but possibly connect to Wi-Fi, she wants a full keyboard, and a camera. Thanks!
