  • What is the best motorcycle forum?

In your opinion what is the best online motorcycle forum? A friend of mine is a member of a Volkswagen forum and some guy driving through our area broke down on the side of the interstate with a busted transmission. He was able to make a post on that sight and within thirty minutes was intouch with a whole group of guys that were able to get him off the interstate to a more secure location and intouch with a trustworthy mechanic. This impressed me greatly and made me want that connection in case i run into a similar situation on my bike far away from home.

  • Can I use fix a flat on a tubed tire?

  • Is it possible to put a tubeless tire on a spoked tire?

I have an 06 Suzuki C50 and I will be replacing the back tire this spring. I'm trying to do some research but don't know which tires to look for. Seems to be only a few tubed tires out there and they are more expensive. Also do you have any opinion on the brand of tire? I am hoping to be doing some long distance rides in 2010 so I need something sooted for that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Does this '90 Nissan 300zx look like a good buy?

I think if i get them closer to $7,000 it will be a good deal. I am buying knowing that I will probably have to replace the transmission in the next year or two. At that point I will probably put a manual in. What is your opinion? http://www.hooversouthtown.com/detail-1990-nissan-...

  • Which Nissan 300zx should I buy?

In terms of the engine/tranny... I know the engine comes n/a, turbo and twin turbo. Of the three which would be more reliable? Are the turbos prone to wearing out prematurely? Do the turbos do anything other than adding more power like somehow reducing wear on the engine? How much labor and cost is it to swap out a turbo? I really don't need a car that is super fast just one that looks cool and is reasonably reliable. I am looking in the early '90s... I've heard the auto tranies were poorly built and I prefer a manual anyway. How reliable is the manual trans? Other wise I would just like your opinion on these cars.

    Thanks

  • Does anyone know anything about the Mazda 3 diesel?

I've heard rumors that Mazda is planning to release the diesel version of the 3 into the United States along with the second generation which will be hitting the dealers in March. Does anyone know if there is any truth to that?

  • How should I winterize my outdoor faucets?

I am winterizing my outdoor water faucets. Each faucet has its own valve located in the garage. Is simply turning this valve off enough to keep my faucets from freezing this winter or should I attach an insulator?

  • Where is the best place to live in Orlando Florida?

I will be moving to Orlando in April and I was wondering what area of town would be a nice place to live in. I am going for school which is located just a few miles from the airport so I am looking more on the south and east side of town. I am hoping for some type of condo community or someplace cool like that. I don't have kids so the schools aren't important to me and an average crime rate is not that big of a deal either. I am from Birmingham and am looking at buying a condo in the 75,000 to 100,000 range up here. Is it going to be possible to find a place in that range? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Is the Jeep Wrangler a reliable truck? ?

I am looking for a truck that I can use on the weekends doing some light trail or mud ridding but mainly just to have something other than my economy car to drive around in. I owned an automatic 2wd 4Runner a couple years ago and I loved it. If I get something I want to get a manual 4wd but i am not sure if I want another 4Runner or a Wrangler. How reliable is the wrangler drive train? Is there a reliability difference between the 4cyl and v6? I love the fact that I can just fold the top down on the wrangler but i love that the 4runner has more space and can pass off as a nicer more luxury car as well. What is your opinion?

  • What makes a motorcycle backfire?

I own an '06 Suzuki S40. I have noticed that when I am going down a heal and therefore am not riding the throttle the bike tends to backfire. First off what causes this? Secondly is this bad for the engine or exhaust system?

I have noticed that I can adjust the choke to avoid this however the bike performs better when in choke. The engine runs more smoothly and has more power. If I am running the engine at half choke am I damaging the engine in any way?

  • Does my friends exboyfriend have parental rights over her baby eventhough they aren't married?

My best friend is due to have her baby boy in April. The guy that got her pregnat, her boyfriend at the time but not anymore, has turned out to be a real tard. He is definately not ready to be a dad. She wants nothing to do with him and nothing from him in regards to bringing up the baby. I am considering marrying her and adopting the baby to keep him from having any say so in the baby's life. Would he have to sign over his rights as father or since they are not married does he even have any paternal rights? Any body with legal or first hand experience please help. Thanks in advance for any advice you have for me.

  • My '06 Suzuki's exhaust pipe has turned gold. Whats going on?

When I bought the bike the whole exhaust pipe was crome and shinny. The day after I bought it I noticed that where it comes out of the engine and turns down to go to the rear of the bike it turned gold and right after riding there are spots that look purple but go away after cooling off.I have seen pictures of other peoples s40's and I have seen the same thing happening. Is this a faulty pipe that I need to get fixed before it breaks or is it just something that will go away when I clean it? Again it is an '06 Suzuki S40 which is the 650cc engine. It has around 2,500 miles on it. Thanks in advance for any answers from first hand experience.

  • My '06 Suzuki S40's back tire is flat.?

I just bout the bike Saturday and Sunday it has a flat. My luck! Anyways I got it towed to a dealer. I have heard from a couple people that it is not smart to patch or plug a bike tire since they are more proned to blow out and a blow out on a bike is deadly. If they find that it is the tire it looks like I will be buying a new one. First question: does anybody know about how much that costs? Second question: the way I understand it this bike rides on tubed tires and those are more proned to punctures and flats right? If that is true is it possible to put a radial tire on it inorder to keep this from happening so easily again?

Any advice would be greatly apreciated.

  • Looking to buy an '06 Suzzuki S40.?

I am looking at two bikes... both are '06 Suzzuki S40's. The one from the dealer has 25k miles on it. I went in there just looking about a month ago and saw it and it is still there. The price listed on it is $2,750 but they have already brought it down to $2,000 if I will buy it. Sounds fishy like they are trying to get rid of it because no one will buy it. The onther one is in the paper. It is the same bike same year but it has a little more than 2k miles and I would be able to meet the owner so I could have an idea of how it has been treated. The price listed is $3,000 also he is going to throw in the helmet and a jacket. First do you agree that the dealer one sounds fishy? Second how much do you think I can get the one out of the paper for? Maybe start at $2,500 or start lower? Also 25k is high for that model isn't it? This will be my first bike so I am torn between what I know will be a good low maintenance bike and one that will be really cheap. Also do you know the mpg for them?
