So I'm writing a book, and I have both a hero and a villain with conflicting motivations, the hero wants to be the savior his mother never had, and the villain wants to kill off everyone because from a series of incidents, he believes that they're not worth saving. They both have the same origin story, just took it on in different ways. Well, the problem is that I have no idea how to introduce them to each other. Can someone help me out please?

I m making a superhero story. In this story the antagonist and the protagonist are brothers, and were subjected to exactly the same traumatic event that triggered their life choices (Their mother was murdered). One brother saw the situation, and thrived to become the savior that his mother never had. The other brother, saw the injustice in the situation and grew to see the human race as purely evil. My question is, does this motivation fit between the two of them? Or should they have completely different motives?

Next year, I'm going to be moving to a college just outside my hometown. The place is well populated, and the college is well known. Seeing that having "friends" crippled my concerntration during middle school, I was wondering if there are any benefits to having them around. I couldn't be anymore introverted so not having people to talk to isn't really a problem. Thanks!

I m creating a video game, and it is based around pirates and magic. The first thought that came to mind was Blackbeard s sword from pirates of the Caribbean. But I need more ideas I could manipulate for my game. I just need any magic and how a pirate would use it, or a pirate-based spell or something similar. I have been an avid gamer for as long as I can remember. I also get A LOT of free time, so I use most of it to watch movies and stuff like that. Recently I noticed that almost nothing scares me, I hardly get phased by anything, and it's very hard for me to get enthusiastic about a certain subject or event.

Right now, it's rare for me to have intense emotional feelings for anything and anyone. Is this a common occurrence for people like me? Or am I just over reacting? Thanks!

I'm creating a character that relies on the fear of gold to make them "whole" so to speak. But i'm having trouble trying to figure out a reason why... I wouldn't be here if I didn't really need help, so please no "Figure it out yourself", I've already tried.

A character I have, has the power to give other people superpowers by making them sign a contract. But what is his motive for giving people powers? What does he get out of all of this?

Imagine you ve been given a strange device. This particular device, as you discover, can create anything you can imagine only by supplying it with vast amounts of electrical energy. And the only "rule" is that you cannot create living organisms. What would you do with it?

If someone were to have the ability to travel to other planes of existence, could they communicate with someone outside their own plane by manipulating a radio wave frequency?

Of course while playing poker or something, he could freeze time to look at everyone's cards. But what about slot machines? How could the ability to stop time, cheat money from them?

Let's say I owned a special sound track. This special track, emits a frequency of around 5 - 10 Hz, a sound that probably can't be heard. But at the same time, emits 150dB or so?

First question, would this even work? Secondly, if it did, what would happen to someone if they were to hear it?

I'm creating a video game, and the antagonist is a character that dresses and acts like the white rabbit in Alice in wonderland. Since he's an antagonist, I need a reason for him to be bad. So I was wondering, how could being late to something cause someone to spiral down to the point of villainy? I've hit a blank, so any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Most of the time, I find that I try to provoke feelings of love, happiness or even anger and sadness, and I don't know why. I Intentionally try to hurt (non-physically), or entertain myself all for the sake of feeling certain emotions. What I was wondering was, is their such a thing as becoming obsessed with feeling emotions? And could it end up damaging me in the future? Thanks.

My foot has been playing up, so I decided to purchase a walking cane. But the thing is, I don t know if I should bring it with me to the school I m attending. I use it regularly, though I can live without it. What should I do? Any advice would be greatly accepted.
