Four friends and I travelled to a picturesque small town in northern Europe where there is a large frozen outdoor skating rink. There is only one skate sharpening place in town and after we all had our skates sharpened, none of us can stop properly on ice and turning is not very stable. We are all good to very good ice skaters. The skate blade seems to grip the ice a lot and there is no other place to get our skates re-sharpened in town.

Is the cause of the blade gripping the ice too well so we can't stop or turn well because the blade is too sharp? What can we do to dull our skate blades without damaging the blade, so we can skate properly?

I bought a very nice red satin party dress which I wore at a Christmas party. Is there anyway I can make the entire outfit look different for the new years eve party but still keep the same dress?

I want to get a shampoo for my brother because he has dry scalp. Any shampoo brand other then Head & Shoulders as he doesn't like that shampoo.

Performing two dances on stage before social dancing with the general public. I want to bring minimal clothes yet look like I am wearing a different outfit for each of the 3 dances. I was thinking of dressing like this but would love an opinion or suggestions on how I can make this work better!

ON STAGE DANCE #1

- super tight sweater (long sleeve halter top & tank top underneath)

- knee length skirt

- 3 pairs of pantyhose, white showing (white, black, suntan)

- knee high leather boots with fur lining and 3" heel

ON STAGE DANCE #2

- halter top (sweater is removed, tank top under halter top)

- short skirt (roll knee length skirt up, velcro into place)

- black pantyhose (remove white pantyhose, have black over suntan)

- knee high leather boots with fur lining and 3" heel

SOCIAL DANCE

- tank top (remove long sleeve halter top)

- mini skirt (detach vecro to remove lower part of skirt)

- suntan pantyhose (black pantyhose removed)

- thick socks (padding & to make sure boots not loose with less pantyhose)

- knee high leather boots with fur lining and 3" heel

Is this good? The padded boots with fur lining will cushion the heels, making them less uncomfortable. I can peel off layers of clothes for quick changes between dances and look very different for each dance. Do you think this will work?

Things I have tried include:

3. Scrambled eggs with cheese on a waffle

I have been dancing salsa for a long time. While I have done On1 as well as On2, the basic rhythm was always quick-quick-slow, quick-quick-slow. When I travelled to Spain recently, I went to a salsa social dance and was told that the way they do it in that town is quick-slow-quick which totally threw me off beat. Is it true that there are enclaves who dance salsa to a quick-slow-quick? I have never ever heard of that rhythm for salsa before and I dance it a LOT.

Having done salsa for a while I typically wear:

- low cut, open back spaghetti strap tops

- A-line mini skirt

- double layer pantyhose

- tall socks over the pantyhose

- a pair of knee high boots with 3" heel

The pantyhose & socks are for padding and the 3" heel is great as a lot of salsa dances are done on the forefoot.

Ballroom dancers usually wear dresses with longer skirts. Should I keep the spaghetti strap top & knee high boots for both dances and just switch to a longer skirt for ballroom?

During dance practice, performances or at social dances, some dance floors are very hot. What kind of eye shadow and mascara can withstand high heat and sweat so I can look good on the dance floor regardless of temperature and humidity?

I dance salsa but am new to ballroom. Going on a cruise with two ballrooms, one for salsa, one for ballroom. I will be in salsa but want to try ballroom too. Dress code is semi-formal. Can I wear my salsa outfit for ballroom as well?
