Friend worked for CVS for a few weeks. His final paycheck was supposed to be sent to the store. Not done. Told it was mailed to him. Going on two weeks and he hasn't received it. The information he was given by HR is different than that give to store manager. Has this happen to anyone else? He says CVS was horrible to work for. People discouraged from taking lunch breaks with " not required" to take your breaks line. Fellow employees did not know they were " entitled" by law to take them.

How do I get the results of the at-home sleep test explained to me and my questions answered in that time? It was 15 minutes or wait until the end of September for the report to be released to my other doctors. Luscious, in my opinion. Consulted them due to uncontrolled diabetes and Joslin Clin saying get the test if you suspect sleep disorder(s). Have no ovaries due to TAH/BSO in 1999. Hadn't slept well since. Snore ( family thing) Told I have an extremely small mouth. Facing two surgeries to replace my knee and was kept overnight when I had gall bladder removed due to low oxygen level. .

Doctor at initial appointment rushed me, and when test he wanted was denied I was told I could not talk to him. Because I raised a ruckus with legal, he called me. Told me they don't bother appealing the insurance company's refusal for in-facility test. Told me he can not get what he needs with the at-home study.

Suggestions? My point of view- my health -my life. .

Friend has been working as a cashier in a CVS. He says people crumble their bills before giving them to them to cashier. Is it passive aggressive behavior? Cultural? Ghetto?

I went to a department of THE major hospital in our area to do the initial consultation before they do a sleep study one me. Asked to sign saying I received some papers, and I said where are they. Told they couldn't be printed off without my signature so I wrote on the machine by my signation " Didn't get papers". Read the consent form and had three problems with it. #1 Doctor allowed to do anything he wants. I have a living will and directives plus medical power of attorneys. #2 Permission to let interns, residents, whoever they invite treat me. NO WAY- that is how Joan Rivers died #3 They can take pictures, video, etc Have no problem for the study, but I don't want to be their poster child and my picture all over cyberspace and beyond.

They tried blowing me off, but I wasn't having it. Finally got to speak to someone. Explained my objections and he said living wills and directives take precedent. I said that wasn't told to me. Pictures will be amended not without my written permission, No interns, residents, salesmen, etc allowed without my written permission.

Does anyone else out there get upset about this stuff? My insanity about It is tied to life experiences like being asked to sign a blank consent form for a D&C looking for a gynecological cancer.

My Presario laptop crashed. What I found out so far - possible system confiquaration, imminent hard drive crash, repaired two sections of the hard drive , automatic repair won't work. Restored back to 2/15/13, and it won't recognize my CD backups. What I did was do an ESC shutdown, and it goes to the green bar with Microsoft and just goes back and forth. Safe mode comes up and when I try to load WP it just has the little circle circling.

I have no money. Do I just cut my losses and replace my hard drive, or do I spend the money for a computer place to do the whole diagnotic thing repair? I need to keep the bill down to under $200.

I just want internet access, and Word 2010 reinstalled so I can do my school work from home. Taking three online courses. .

I spoke up in class and asked a professor to tell us about the public speaking assignments in advance rather than her email saying that she would give us only one week's notice. She wasn't in class the 2nd week so things could not be said then. My learning style is being prepared and doing assignments in advance. Public speaking speeches need to be practiced in advance, and I am taking 15 credits. Talked to other students prior to class who had the same concerns and mindset after we received an e-mail saying she would only tell us the specifics of the speeches and assignments a week in advance. I said if I would bring it our need to know stuff in advance , and they said they would back me. No one did. She said she felt she was being personally attacked by the requests ( there were some by e-mail). Then later I was told that I might consider switching out of the session which is for apprehensive students or dropping the course when I mention in an exercise about how we were feeling that I was dealing with what she said. Told me her sob story about what she was dealing with last Spring, and I felt was belittling and attacking my feelings. I am in a 12 step program so my sharing my feelings outside my group is big. It is past the date to get my tuition money back and she teaches all the sessions I could switch to. It is also a mandatory course. I have the same educational level as this professor, so I have alot of experience with school. Made nicey, nicey after class . She saw the results of my Strengths Quest's Connectedness #1 Strength and said basically OMG now I know why you want stuff in advance. Duh. If students are telling you they need to know the deatails of assignments in advance, Houston, don't you think there is a problem.

Other than sucking up to her what else can I do? I don't care about the grade. It will be a B or higher because I can do it academically. I am just rusty and have a speech problem where I mispronounce words.

She is in compliance with the college's rules about assignments giving us a schedule and other required stuff.

I am going back to community college for Human Services- Addiction Studies. Start Monday. I am going to take 15 credits this semester - Substance Abuse, Intro to Psychology, Intro to Human Services- 2 courses, and Public Speaking. I have the time and home life to devote myself fully to my studying. Have made friends with the librarian and my advisor. Taking all the workshops for new students early in the semester. Any suggestions?
