Hi,

I am currently doing a degree in human geography and will be going into my final year in September. I'm very confused about whether to teach primary or secondary. I love working with children and have helped out a lot at my old primary school as my mum works there but on the other hand I would love to teach geography but I am worried a little bit about controlling behaviour in a high school. I will be going back to my old high school for work experience in September to get a feel for it.

Does anyone know when to apply for the PGCE? Has anyone else been through something similar in deciding which one to go for? Please share your experiences!

Does anyone know of any books that are set in universities in the UK? I've come across a few but they are all based in USA and in colleges. I'm also looking for romance novels and more light-hearted stuff as this is research for a new novel idea of mine.

Hi guys,

For a uni assignment we have to make a short film and have been provided with adobe elements to use for editing however I don't feel that this is provides us with sufficient features for us to use. I was wondering if anyone knows of any free software out there which I could use to edit a video and add effects to it.

I am going on a field trip tomorrow to a coal mine and we will be doing a tour of the underground mine, I'm just not sure as to what the correct/comfortable clothing would be.

Also what bag should I take? I don't have a backpack and I would only need to carry a few items.

Hi guys,

So I met this guy after a night out this must be about October. He was great and we talked for ages (neither of us was drunk by the way) and we exchanged numbers.

He didn't message.. until 2 weeks ago just asking how I was. I thought this was just a bit strange so asked why he had decided to message after all this time he replied saying that he had been through a lot of self reflection and 'wants to be a better man' and has 'many regrets'.

My question is whether his excuse seems feasible? Do I reply, if so what do I say?

What I'm confused about it is that he could be telling the truth but on the other hand this could be a line and I could be just one of many girls. Surely you guys can understand the need for this question, I'm a little lost :P

It's a friends birthday this Thursday and we are having drinks and then heading to a club but I just don't know what to wear !! It's quite cold especially in the evenings so I've basically got no ideas. I've got dresses, leggings, skirts and plenty of nice tops but I just don't want to freeze !

Hi all,

I'm a student currently living in private student accommodation, I have already filled out the online declaration form on the TV License website back in November stating that I do not need a license as I do not own a TV nor do I watch live TV. I then received a confirmation email and then thought nothing more of it.

However, today I received a letter saying that I have not responded to letters and that an officer will be visiting to check whether I would require one.

I do not understand this as I have already stated that I do not need one! Should I be worried about this supposed visit?

Any advice on what to do next?

So as the question says I'm looking to buy a small gift for someone who's going through a hard time right now and I would just like to show them that everything will be alright in the end and he's just got to stay positive (yeah it's a guy by the way :P)

I like the thought of a safety pin brooch as it's cute but it's very girly and I've got no idea where to get one. Another thing that I thought of were inspirational tokens but I'm not sure if that's a very good idea, and again got no idea where to get them from !

Any ideas you guys have would be great,
